Allt-y-Bela - "Keeping up with the Edwards'" |
|
In 1599, Roger Edwards built a unique three-storey tower extension to his farmhouse that set stylistic trends in the area, and became a significant building in the development of Early Renaissance architecture. After falling into decline in the 20th Century, Allt-y-Bela was awarded Grade II* listed status in the 1950's and is currently being restored by the Spitalfields Trust.
