TWO TOWN MAD
Leicester at play - down the pub
The Old Swan in Leicester was a popular haunt in 1963. The pub, which has now been demolished, used to stand in the Market Place where the fish market is now. In the documentary, one pub regular described it as follows, "Everyone's heard of the Swan but a lot of people don't come in for the simple reason that there's all the criminals, all the tough geezers, all the hard cases".
