Oil and season affordable cuts of beef such as skirt, frying and bavette steaks on both sides.

For a skirt steak fry for 3 – 4 minutes on each side in a hot frying pan. It is best cooked rare or medium. Rest the steak for 10 minutes to make it juicier.

For a frying steak, fry for 1 – 2 minutes on each side in a hot frying pan. Rest for 1 minute.

For a bavette steak, fry for 6 – 8 minutes, flipping every minute, in a hot frying pan. You can add a crushed garlic and knob of butter to the pan for extra taste! Rest for about 6 minutes.

To cook a flat iron steak, you don’t need to add oil as there is enough fat, just season on both sides and sear until brown for 2 minutes on either side. Place into a hot oven for 5 minutes to finish cooking. Rest for a few minutes before serving.
