Concert Information

It is easy to immerse yourself in music as seductive as Anders Hillborg鈥檚. The climax of our Total Immersion weekend is this concert in which Sakari Oramo underlines his own belief that the Swedish composer 鈥榟as acquired a signature way of writing for orchestra鈥�.

Whilst some of Hillborg鈥檚 works are traditional Nordic nature landscapes built on spatial breadth and filmic atmosphere, his clarinet concerto Peacock Tales is less abstract and more immediate, tailored to the theatrical and communicative flair of soloist Martin Fr枚st.

After the UK premiere of Violin Concerto No 1, a brand new Hillborg work, commissioned by the 成人快手, closes the concert.
