Star American soprano Ren茅e Fleming returns to join Sakari Oramo and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra for the shimmering 鈥榯ransformation鈥� music that closes Richard Strauss鈥檚 opera Daphne, and Samuel Barber鈥檚 Knoxville: Summer of 1915, a nostalgic portrait of the America of a simpler age.

The RSPO also brings music by its Swedish compatriot Andrea Tarrodi 鈥� Liguria, a vivid musical 鈥榳alking tour鈥� through Italian fishing villages as well as Nielsen鈥檚 Second Symphony, 鈥楾he Four Temperaments鈥�, whose four movements offer different character portraits, from a choleric opening Allegro to a melancholic slow movement.
