鈥楳y Friend Dylan Thomas鈥� draws to a spectacular close with a unique concert by Wales鈥檚 national symphony orchestra, broadcast live on 成人快手 Radio 3.

Grant Llewellyn conducts a rare performance of Daniel Jones鈥檚 Fourth Symphony, written 60 years ago in memory of his much missed friend and colleague, who had died the year before.

World-renowned baritone Roderick Williams sings Mark-Anthony Turnage鈥檚 cycle of Dylan Thomas songs When I Woke, and we present the world premiere of a new work for tape and orchestra by Andrew Lewis, incorporating Dylan鈥檚 own distinctive voice reading his poem 鈥楩ernhill鈥�.

The programme is completed by a performance of Elgar鈥檚 final major work, his beautiful Cello Concerto, in which the orchestra is joined by the young Swansea-born cellist Thomas Carroll.
