A special visit to Southampton鈥檚 Turner Sims in the concert hall鈥檚 50th anniversary year!

The first half of the programme features music by three composers with University of Southampton connections.

The second half focuses on a single work: Joby Talbot鈥檚 iconic choral piece Path of Miracles. Over three years in the making, the work was premiered in 2005 and has been captivating audiences worldwide ever since. Based on the most enduring route of Catholic pilgrimage, the great Pilgrimage to Santiago, the four movements are titled with the names of the four main staging posts of the 鈥楥amino Frances鈥� 鈥� the central axis of a network of pilgrimage routes to the Spanish city.
