Overnight success has been a while coming for Rae Morris, but it鈥檚 clearly well on the way. She was first given a spotlight by 成人快手 Radio Lancashire鈥檚 Sean McGinty, who put her forward for the 成人快手 Introducing stage at 2011鈥檚 Reading and Leeds Festivals. She put out her first single Don鈥檛 Go a year later, with the EP Grow another year after that. In 2014 she offered her voice first to Bombay Bicycle Club (that's her on their single Luna) and then Clean Bandit (on their song Up Again) and put out another three EPs.
That鈥檚 when things started to take off. Longlisted for the 成人快手鈥檚 Sound of 2015, her charming debut album Unguarded came out in January and has been quietly gathering new fans to her bewitching voice and thoughtful songs ever since. She also has the honour of being the last artist to record a Live Lounge session for Radio 1鈥檚 Fearne Cotton. The cover was Ben Howard鈥檚 Keep Your Head Up, aptly enough.
