Haydn鈥檚 dramatic overture to 鈥楾he Desert Island鈥�, his little-known opera of 1779, opens the final concert in the current season which closes with Beethoven鈥檚 joyous, headstrong Fourth Symphony. Laura Samuel, the 成人快手 SSO鈥檚 Leader, is soloist in a 20th century masterpiece, Prokofiev鈥檚 beautiful Second Violin Concerto.
