About This Event
Location: Recital Room, Glasgow City Halls
Yosuke Fujita is a sound artist living in Japan. He creates his sound art and music by reconfiguring various natural phenomena with purpose-built mechanisms. In 2009, Fujita hand-fabricated an original musical object: a pipe organ inspired by the Japanese tradition of Gagaku. His music performances consist of water sounds synthesised from multiple aquariums alongside his pipe organ and voice.
Fujita鈥檚 installation will be accessible in the Recital Room throughout the weekend but there are also specific performances at 18.15 on Saturday 30 April and 17.15 on Sunday 1 May. These will have a strictly limited capacity.
Please register for these performances at the Box Office on the day of performance. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
