 Here's an demonstration example of a script for the screen.
There are many different formats for scripts - this is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's house style for drama. The space on the left is for writing comments in.

| [SOUND: GLASSES CLINK, CHAIRS CREAK, SLIGHT WHISPERING HUBUB IN BACKGROUND. MEETING ROOM.]

MACBETH: ...and I think that proves that our company is the very best option for you.

BANQUO: ...as well as having the best biscuits!
| MEETING ATTENDEES (OOV - meaning "Out of Vision", so we just hear their voices): General laughter
| BANQUO: (LOW) Phew!
| CUT TO:

| (START A NEW PAGE HERE, BECAUSE IT'S A NEW SCENE.)
| SCENE 2. INT. CORRIDOR - DAY 1 10.45 | SOUND: TWO SETS OF FOOTSTEPS ON CARPET

MACBETH: That was pretty tough, but I think we got them in the end.
| BANQUO: YOU got them - it was you who swung the deal. You really sold it to them.
| MACBETH: Yes, I suppose so... I think your jokes helped.
FOOTSTEPS STOP
Er, excuse me, ladies?
| BANQUO: Could we get past please? You're blocking the corridor.
| WITCH #1: (SULTRY) Not so fast, sunshine.
| WITCH #2: Ah, Macbeth! Darling of the sales department!
| WITCH #3: You're going far, my dear. Enjoy the view from your desk.
| MACBETH: View? Of the airconditioning unit?
| WITCH #1: Just you wait and see. And don't forget us when you're running the place!
| MACBETH: (CONFUSED) When I'm... what? But Duncan's the boss - he's not going anywhere.
| WITCH #1: Oh and Banquo? Those trainees of yours have a bright, bright future.
| SOUND: SWOOOSH!
