Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber: Over The Rainbow

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, or 'The Lord' as he is known to some, is a British institution for all things 'musical' and 'theatre'. Publishing his first composition at the sprightly age of nine, it wasn't long before the West End and Broadway had benefited from his thirteen musicals, six Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, seven Olivier awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar!

Amongst the famous musicals composed and produced by The Lord are: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cats, Starlight Express, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Whistle down the Wind and his new show Love Never Dies. And he's soon to add one more musical to the list when he pens six new songs for stage production of The Wizard of Oz.

He has also composed the film scores of Gumshoe and The Odessa File, and a setting of the Latin Requiem Mass Requiem. Also, any Eurovision fans out there will be well aware that he co-wrote and co-performed the 2009 British Eurovision entry It's My Time sung by Jade Ewen - now a fully fledged Sugababe.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Graham Norton are always searching the land for the UK's most talented musical performers. Over the last five years he has brought us Connie Fisher – who played Maria in The Sound of Music, Lee Mead who wowed audiences in his role of Joseph, in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Last year he launched the nationwide search for a Nancy to grace the West End stage in a production of Oliver; Jodie Prenger was discovered and the rest, as they say, is history...
