She is writing an online diary for the 成人快手 Cornwall website. She sends her latest diary from Australia... I'm back - and I'm now in Sydney, Australia. I have been here for just under a week and am loving every second of it. I won't go into great detail about here, as I need to finish up writing about Bali. Well, where do I start! When I last wrote I was in Ubud and was about to head to Seminyak - that's been and gone now and my time spent there was great fun as it was New Years Eve. I arrived at my friend鈥檚 villa and it was gorgeous and was just what I needed after slumming it in Ubud. We started our evening celebrations by going out for a posh Indian dinner (with Champagne), but that turned out to be a bad idea as we all ate far too much and then the thought of drinking after that was enough to make my stomach turn. But silly old me tried and then started to feel a tad ill - so ending up not drinking really, but still had a fun filled night whilst seeing in the New Year with the locals in the streets of Seminyak whilst watching fire works. Which people were setting directly off from their hands into the sky in the middle of the street - danger alert or what. Rachael (right) at Sydney Opera House Luckily no one was hurt though, so it's all good. New Year's Day however was not so good. Bearing in mind it is the monsoon season in Bali, it was expected that some rain would fall, but I never thought it would be as much as I saw on New Years Day. It was the kind of rain that even a rain coat and umbrella couldn't stop you getting wet - an absolute nightmare, as I had arranged to meet a friend of mine Caroline from back home back in Kuta. Off I set to meet her, allowing myself 30 minutes to get there, even though it should only take about 10 minutes. But oh no, it didn't just take me 30 minutes, it took me an hour and a half. It took two taxis (both of which wouldn't take me any further because the roads were so flooded and they worried about their cars) and then a spot of walking in knee depth water and then for the final leg of the journey - a moped taxi, with my huge rucksack wrapped in a plastic raincoat and put between the drivers legs and then me clinging on for my life on the back whilst we went through water that was brushing against my feet (which were up on those littler foot rests, that's how deep it was.) Eventually we arrived and Caroline was still waiting, bless her. It was so great to see a familiar face. Once we'd caught up on all the goss, etc, we decided to leave the cafe that we met at and sod's law - it had stopped raining and was turning out to be an ok day - monsoon weather, it's just strange. Rachael about to take to the town Sadly Caroline and her fianc茅 James (they got engaged on Christmas day in Bali - congratulations!) were leaving that night, so it was back to being on my own again till I left for Sydney. It was an ok five days that I had as the weather went hot and sunny again, so I spent a lot of time sunning myself on the beach and doing some clothes shopping (well I am a girl after all). I did however do one exciting thing - I went white water rafting. It was so cool and actually kind of scary at some points, especially when our guide fell out of the raft and we were left to go down part of the river on our own whilst going backwards - scary! Our guide was there behind us attempting to catch up with us, but kept getting dragged around in the rapids. Once he was in we all saw the funny side. It was a 12km run altogether and the highlights were the 3m and 4m vertical drops that we went down - they actually made your tummy go slightly funny, but were a great adrenaline rush. I would recommend it to anyone. All in all I wouldn't say that I had the greatest time in Bail, apart from the cool people that I met. It's just I found the Balinese people quite annoying, as they just don't leave you leave you alone - they are constantly hassling you to buy something, get 'transport', have 'massage'. You name it and they'll try and sell it to you. It may have been the fact that I was a single women travelling on my own and they saw me as an easy target, but I just couldn't handle it, by the end of the trip I'd 'had it up to here' and started being rather rude to them when they hassled me. Naughty me, but I'm sure if you were in my shoes you would have been the same. I think all that mixed with me being homesick didn't help, but I'll be honest with you - I was glad to get to Australia. And that brings me up to date. I will sign off for this entry. Cheers for now! x
