Omari's vegan banana fritters
Award-winning vegan chef Omari cooks up some deliciously good vegan banana fritters that you can try at home.
- 4 overripe bananas
- 60grams soft brown sugar
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- 1tsp grounded nutmeg
- A pinch Salt
- 125grams plain flour
- Vegetable oil
Step 1
Take four overripe bananas and 60g of brown sugar and mash them with a fork in a large mixing bowl.聽Once you have done that, add the vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt and mix.
Step 2
Now add the flour and mix until you have a thick batter.
Step 3
Next heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Make sure that you get an adult to help when using a hob as it can get very hot - especially the oil in the pan.聽After a minute flip the fritter to cook the other side.聽
Step 4
Once they are cooked on both sides, put on a plate to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar and there you have it...Vegan Banana Fritters!
