North Korea: What's Your Plan?

Ros Atkins Ros Atkins | 13:18 UK time, Tuesday, 10 October 2006

Hi there. North Korea remains top of and your conversations and for the moment we're planning to devote a lot of the show to hearing how you think the world carrying out another nuclear test.

While you certainly disagreed about who to blame for the test - North Korea, China and America all taking plenty of flak - I can't think of anyone who argued that such tests are a good thing. Admittedly, we didn't manage to speak to anyone in North Korea, but it wasn't through lack of trying. People there may have a different view.

The and the world's leaders have all issued the kind of condemnation we might expect, and they are now considering . So what do you want it be? Does it involve the United Nations, or do you think it's time certain countries took matters into their own hands?

You might like to read from The Guardian. I was reading it on the bus on the way in and it highlights very well why coming up with a response to the test is fraught with problems. But don't let that put you off, please post your suggestions and let us know if you'd like to come on air to explain them.

Now I know Priya highlighted a number of stories that you are talking about today. Most may not make today's show because we only have an hour and North Korea will, I'm sure, take a while to consider. But we do want to discuss the on Ethiopia by the Union of Islamic Courts in Somalia. They've said this after Ethiopian troops entered Somalia to assist the troubled government there, which controls not much more than the town it’s based in. We're going to try and get some of you in and to talk about this. If you are there, or are from either of the two countries, please get in touch.

Speak to you later.
