The mastermind of National Theatre Wales will be answering questions about the organisation's plans for its first year at a free talk at Wales Millennium Centre on Wednesday, 25th November.
John McGrath is joining me in the Centre's Victor Salvi Room at 6pm to talk about the newest national theatre company around. The talk is free but tickets can be pre-booked at WMC.
John has recently returned from Warsaw where he's been at a
conference of European national theatre companies and, when I had a
quick cup of coffee with him earlier this week, said there was great
interest in the model that Wales has adopted. It's a useful reminder
that National Theatre Wales should prompt more international attention
and links with other practitioners around the world.
I'm looking forward to hearing more of what John has to say
about the programme for 2010 and how the monthly productions were
selected and matched with the performance areas. There'll also be a
chance for open questions to be put to John so it should be a lively
hour.
