We may all be whooping with joy at the prospect of the clocks changing and a little more sunshine coming in to our lives but spare a moment's thought for Brenda and John Ryder this weekend.
Brenda suffers from a rare form of light sensitivity – which is connected to the disease called Lupus. Her condition is so severe that Brenda can’t go out in daylight, she can’t even glance at a ray of sunshine and her life is dominated by the need to keep away from the light.
