Len Goodman
Len Goodman is an accomplished judge of Latin American and Ballroom professional dance competition, serving as a regular at the World and British Championships. He has been the head judge on all three 成人快手 television series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The popularity created by Strictly Come Dancing earned him a place on a similar US programme called "Dancing with the Stars". Len was previously a professional dancer and dance teacher, and now runs his own successful dance school in Kent, England, where he teaches ballroom and Latin dancing.
Born in Bethnal Green, Len started dancing around the age of 20 after a short time as an engineering apprentice. He became a professional dancer after he hurt his foot playing football and was told his bones would never heal well enough for him to be a professional footballer. The doctor advised Len to try his luck at either swimming or ballroom dancing. Len didn鈥檛 know where his nearest swimming pool was so his girlfriend booked him into ballroom dancing lessons instead.
Len Goodman specialised in the form of ballroom called Exhibition dancing (where you are allowed to do lifts) - he won the British Exhibition four times and was the runner up in the Exhibition World Championships. He retired from competitive dancing in his late 20s.
He has been awarded the British Rising Star Award, the Carl Allen Award (known as the Ballroom Oscars) and, most recently, a Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to dancing.
A bit of good advice - never trust a person who indulges in 'upspeak'. My pet hate!
