While the tennis courts around the land are full of Murrays and Nadals hoping for a Grand Slam you actually have no need to leave your house. You can perfect your kick serve on the new tennis game on the Nintendo Wii is here!

So on first play this game seems almost impossible to win, but patience will pay off. The old Wii trick of flicking the wrist WILL NOT result in match winning shots but will just have you looking a little stupid with a remote in your hand!
Now real tennis strokes result in real shots like topspin, flat shots and slices (not peach ones), especially if you have the new Wii motion plus, even spinning the Wiimote in your hand results in a racket spin on screen(heavy!) I recommend you use the nunchuck as well otherwise you reliquish control of your players feet and he/she can easily get caught out on the wrong side of the court!

As you can imagine all these control methods make it quite complicated to control hence the patience needed to master this game(took me two days to win a game!)
You get a choice of 23 well known players to choose from including Rafa Nadal and John 'you cannot be serious' McEnroe. The McEnroe character even throws his racket to the floor if he loses(funny!).

Not only will you wear yourself out playing the computer, God help you if you challenge a superfit tennis expert online! I had to sit down after one online game and buy some Lucozade!

So super accurate ball physics and the ability to challenge anyone in the world make this a winner for me. I'm keeping my copy that should say it all!!

Rated 3+
Available on : the Wii. (Released on PS3 and 360 next year)
Four joysticks

If you wanna see the game in action we've got Radio 1's Becky (from the Scott Mills Show) and some tall dude called Andy Murraymint or peppermint or ....something like that, playing it. Check the video here, (still think I could do better though).
