The BAFTAs announce their nominations on Thursday so here are my thoughts about who might get a nod.

The BAFTAs love the Brits. Stick Judi Dench in a movie and those BAFTA peeps will be voting for it like it's going outta fashion. So as well as the Hollywood big-hitters like The Hurt Locker, Up In The Air and Avatar look out for homegrown faves such as An Education and Nowhere Boy, especially the stars Carey Mulligan and Aaron Johsnon. I wouldn't complain about either to be honest, both performances dripping with confidence. Oh, and of course Dame Judi will get a nod for her turn in Nine since IT'S THE LAW.
