Will you be covering the latest case of fakery by New Labour:
Boy No 10 really gets it's money out of the web chimps.
Blimey, if that's it, then bring it on Gordon!
Whats all this nonsense that conscription abolished class? How do you think the officer class was chosen? Who do you think got the worst manual jobs.
Haven't Renault already produced a low cost car for developing countries? The Logan was the subject of much debate in France when it was announced that it was for export only. Since that decision was reversed there is, I understand, a two year waiting list for them in France.
You reported on the case of the student from Gaza who was unable to return to the UK.
You mentioned that the borders between Israel and Gaza and between Egypt and Gaza were closed. You interviewed someone from the Israeli Embassy but not someone from the Egyptian Embassy.
Why was that?
Are we going to get this much on Diana every day for the next 4 mths? Please, no!
Well, 502 chewed up my earlier comment about this being a record early glass box, and about David Hatch. So, without much optimism, I'll try again.
Glad to hear a bit of the memorial service.
Trying again @ 1804...
Very odd report on Israel and higher education. First you say that a student from Bradford is studying there. Then, in an interview with the student, HE says he's Palestinian! I didn't know Bradford was in Palestine.

I've been meaning to tell you for months just what an extraordinarily humane presenter Eddie M. is. I've listened with admiration to the time and space he gives to people whose views might be regarded as less significant by other interviewers.
I greatly enjoyed yesterday's item on the maintenance of Big Ben
and incidentally loved the compilation of sounds of summer and the sound collage of signature tunes.
There is a real sense of risk taking in the editing of the programme at the moment.
Thanks.
The Palestinian who was prevented from leaving Gaza to study in the UK blamed Israel. Why didn’t you ask him if he agreed with Hamas and supported their incessant rocket attacks on Israel?
Although the Israeli representative managed to mention this, you only saw the situation as a huge injustice to the student.
Was that the best you could do?
Somebody tell Humph that I said "Happy Birthday" ysesterday at least twice, but the Beach isn't prepared to accept posts from me.
This probably isn't either but I shall give it a try.
Yes, Ros, we heard you the first time. Diidn't you know we had foreign students here?
Sid
Whenever we broadcast anything about Israel and the Palestinians we always get a significant amount of comment. The item about Palestinian students trapped in Gaza actually attracted comparatively little controversy.
Mark (4) asks why we didn't interview anyone from the Egyptian embassy.
The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt is not controlled by Egypt. It is governed by an agreement between Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and the EU. Since June, when Hamas took over in Gaza, it has been closed. The EU monitors have left and Israel and Hamas have no contact with each other.
Ros (7 & 8) may have got the wrong end of the stick. The student interviewed is a Palestinian, from Gaza, studying at Bradford University.
Susan (10) asks why the student wasn't questioned about the Hamas rocket attacks on Israel. In the interview as broadcast, he says: "As a student I'm not part of the attacks that are taking place on them (Israel). I'm just a student, so we shouldn't be involved in this game." We also gave the spokesman from the Israeli embassy an extra minute of air time to explain Israel's position. It might not sound much but in a four minute item it was a significant proportion of the alloted time.
Sid @ 12, I am reminded of the old slogan:
We are all foreign students!
