Over the years, the battle lines have been drawn many times over airport expansion. 2009 seems set to continue that trend, with news that the government is backing the building of .

    Personally I think placing a third runway at is going to play an important part of continued economic growth in London. It would create new routes, more flights thus there being more jobs and money coming into the country.
