Sunday Sequence wins at the Andrew Cross Awards
Some good news tonight from this year's , the UK's most prestigious Religious Media Awards. I've just heard that Sunday Sequence has won the for the radio speech programme of the year (for a special edition of the programme, live from Cape Town, South Africa, last July), and a Commendation in the special programme category for our special edition following the announcement of the death of Pope John Paul II.
I wasn't able to be at the awards ceremony, in the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire; but we were well represented by producer Martin O'Brien who called me soon afterwards with the good news.

Congratulations to Will and the Sunday Sequence programme!
Well said David. Great news for the programme and for ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Northern Ireland. Glad to see our local broadcasters taking on the best of the rest in the UK. I heard that south africa programme - was really excellent.
Congratulations to the whole team! Now how about entering the Bloggies next year Will?
Well done Martin, William & SS team. :-)
I'll add my congratulations too - I heard about the award on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ breakfast news bulletins this morning - now that's what I call blowing your own trumpet! Seriously though: Sunday Sequence is a regular part of my week and I think it's the best programme of its kind on the radio.
