A Da Vinci Code Special

Post categories: ,Ìý

William Crawley | 18:34 UK time, Monday, 22 May 2006

We broadcast a Da Vinci Code Special on Sunday Sequence yesterday. In fact, I re-named the whole day: Da Vinci Code Sunday. Yes, I am that powerful! We review the movie, report on the controversy at home and abroad, take the theology of Dan Brown way too seriously, and find the UK spokesperson for Opus Dei in fighting form. You can listen to the programme via the website and leave your comments here. Let battle begin.

The Da Vinci Code Special was better than the usual drivel on Sunday Sequence.

A good discussion. I am still surprised that this book has upset so many people, and am getting more than a little fed up with the 'fiction or not?' debate.

And if the things that Brown suggests were actually TRUE, what would any evangelical Christian have to fear from it? Jesus being married, Jesus not being believed to be divine until years later... I don't understand what problem it could possibly pose to sensible Christian belief.

Course, many don't have sensible belief, do they?

The Da Vinci Code was a comedy that leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
