Why has the music changed on your feed? Bring back the original and get rid of this funky nonsense.
You're right about Kovalainen having to buck up. Although he did have a very decent European Grand Prix, his season so far has been woefully inept (yes - he had a bad car at the beginning, but so did Lewis and he got far more out of it...)
If Toyota (huge underachievers) do pull out it'll be interesting to see how the driver merry-go-round pans out with Trulli and Glock looking for a drive.
Williams would be mad to let go of Rosberg, and to swap him with Kovalainen?
    Madder!

    Hi Murray,
    Great comments as usual.
I've always been a critic of Toyota and their lack of success in Formula 1. However, I would be disappointed if they were to pull out of the sport simply as it's imperative that large car manufacturers should aid in the technological development within motorsport.
Kylie is right about the music...

worst f 1 driver ever was taki inoue and you know it muzza

they're breaking ranks the union jacks are waving and nigel mansell wins the 1992 british grand prix in terrific style

Please could we have a transcript of these videos for those of us who can't play them...

    Kylie,

When McLaren was bad, it was Heikki who was doing better and not Hamilton.

    rManiks,
Let's be honest - Hokie Kokie Kovie is a load of Old Baloney.
I don't like Hamilton - but at least he kept that bad car on the road. Kokie was off on an ice-crem bender with his fellow Finn as soon as he could. He's probably the only driver on the grid with decent holiday snaps from his travels - He's spent more time in shorts and T-shirt than in his racing suit during race days...and knows more about the cities than Micheal Palin or any other TV traveler.

    Ole!

    Hi Murray
Where do you think Kubica and Heidfeld will go next season?

why did you pop up behind a bush in your film? Bill Oddie should have commentated on the "lesser spotted Murray Walker"

  • Comment number 10.

Please come back to F1 commentating Murray. Your knowledge and enthusiasm is so infectious. I agree that Luca Badoer isn't the worst driver in F1-I think he has got a hard time from people who don't remember him from before. Trouble was after the excitemement and then disappointment of Michael Schumacher being the replacement and then not, whoever came in was gong to get a hard time. Good on him for having a go and good luck Luca for Belgium.

  • Comment number 11.

Williams should have Rosberg and Kubcia as there drivers

  • Comment number 12.

    rManiks,

Hamilton scored points (one, in Malaysia) before Kovalainen did. At that point, Kovalainen hadn't even managed two racing laps in the McLaren. AT the next race in China, Heikki scored 4 to Lewis' 3, giving them equal points. After that, Lewis scored 5 points in Bahrain, and then none until his win at Hungary. In contrast, Heikki scored only one point before Hungary.

Great views as ever Murray! And yes, I want the old music back too!

  • Comment number 13.

    Dear Nikolas_GR,
I couldn't have said it better myself.
Kovalainen is nonsense and hear hear to the old tune!

  • Comment number 14.

    Dear Murray,

Good job with the questions and analysis. I have to agree that others have done worse than Badoer; but I probably remember him struggling in Minardis as I only started watching around the early '90s as a child, so he was one of the first drivers I saw.

Watching all the archive footage from the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ has been a fascinating insight into things before my time, as well as the previous question you answered on why F1 lacked "colourful characters" now. Several of them seem to be before the '80s, let alone the '90s! There is one in particular that seems to epitomise this difference though. I was too young to understand why the voice next to you changed in the commentary box after '93 - I am of course aware of why now - and it brings me to this question: Having seen him as the racing driver, probably seen him behind the scenes and then having had him work alongside you, what is your enduring memory of James Hunt?

Looking forward to the next instalment,

    Hi_Im_Mr_Ed

I just want to ask a question! Where's the "comment" part of your F1 coverage for general questions, etc? In the circumstances of, e.g., Badoer hitting Sutil's Force India in Parc Fermé & also damaging the Toro Rosso, do Ferrari offer to pay for the damage?

  • Comment number 16.

FISI, HAS GOT A DRIVE WITH FERRARI JUDGING BY HIS PERFORMANCE THIS WEEKEND.
BUT I DO NOT THINK HE IS UP TO THE JOB., GOOD FOR ONE OR TWO LAPS THEN ONLY AVERAGE AS A F1 PILOT

i was thinking how quick schumacher will be now all the cach schumi rules like groved tyres to stop him sliding round corners like spa in 1997 high downforce to give every1 more grip to keep up an ofcourse you can't forget to mention tc to give every1 easy exits from corners were he was definatly quicker than any one

  • Comment number 18.

Murray, do you think Rubens is now a genuine title contender?

Murray, do you think Rubens is now a geniune title contender?

  • Comment number 20.

Having watched another botched pitstop by Renault, all of 30 seconds and in particular Hamilton's botched stop last week in Valencia, why is it F1 teams have so many more mechanics in a pit crew, when an Indy Car team has fewer and yet they can refuel, change tyres and get the car out quicker than an F1 team?

  • Comment number 21.

    Hi all,

My colleagues at ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sport will be filming Murray Walker's latest video blogs on Monday. So please let us know if you have any questions for him, whether they be about the Belgian Grand Prix or anything else to do with Formula 1.

We look forward to your contributions.

    All the best

    Andrew

    Hi Murray,
Considering the fact that Fisichella had the faster car over Raikkonen's Ferrari in Spa, Do you think cars carrying KERS now have an unfair advantage over non-KERS cars?
    Great to hear your views.

why does the belgian grand prix not have a parade lap at the end?

    Hi Murray

How do you rate Force India's chances of being a consistent front-runner now?

@ Sir_B_White: Because they can go stright into the pits after the first corner. Saves time and possibly a little bit of engine power.

  • Comment number 28.

What is the purpose of the formation lap?

  • Comment number 29.

When talking about braking in F1 Martin often says that the guys have to use enormous braking pressure to stop these F1 cars. I was wandering why? Are they not allowed to use servo assisted brakes or any kind of levering system to lessen the amount of force needed to brake if so why not? I would have thought they would be using some kind of fly by wire system in this day and age.

  • Comment number 30.

Does next seasons no refuling rule make the races more or less exciting?

  • Comment number 31.

Murray, it's fair to say you've been around F1 a long time. In your years in the sport have you ever seen a turn around in fortunes for any team like Force India's in Spa?

  • Comment number 32.

Well done Fisii Farrari will whant to snap him up now.I think he will stay at Force India. What do you think.

  • Comment number 33.

Kimi went off at the first corner and took advantage of the run off area and ended up in third place. Why wasn't he investigated and forced to do a drive through?

  • Comment number 34.

hey murry last week you answered my qurstions about force india's future and they nearly won the Belgian GP. so me being superstitious im going to ask another question to bring good luck to the force india team!!

so do you think fisi should move to ferarri to drive if he gets a chance and what implication will it have between his relationship with his force india team?

    thank you

  • Comment number 35.

Who would want replace Badoer if it was your choice of realistic drivers?

Do you think this season will go down to the wire, and if so who do you expect the battle to be between?

Regardless its still great to hear your insights Murray, seeing your last couple of videoblogs has just reminded me again how much a part of this sport you will always be for me, and countless millions I am sure.

  • Comment number 36.

After their second place in Belgium, what will Force India be expecting in Italy?

Hi Murray, do you think all Asian races should be held at night?

  • Comment number 38.

    Hi Murray,
We all miss you and love you dearly.
Will you for one last time commentate on a race for us (or even just quali)? All your fans worldwide would be ecstatic. It would top of a great season.

  • Comment number 39.

    Dear Murray,
In light of another dismal performance after giving so much promise, how damaging would it be for Formula 1 if (another large car manufacturer such as) Toyota were to pull out?

  • Comment number 40.

    Dear Murray,
Should Raikonnen have been penalised for gaining an advantage by going wide at La Source in lap 1? Do you see it as a cheating manouevre?

  • Comment number 41.

  • Comment number 42.

Why are family members and girlfriends allowed in certain pit garages? Surely this is a very busy and dangerous environment and they are just in the way of the guys "at the office"

  • Comment number 43.

Sorry, forgot to say "Hello" and "Welcome Back", Murray. BUT, I do think the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ coverage of F1 is brilliant this year (presenters, insights, interviews, red button etc)

  • Comment number 44.

After Force India's stunning result, I think it was Eddie Jordan who mentioned that it was worth "squillions" to the team. How much do the teams actually get for the points they win and what is the constructors championship worth?

  • Comment number 45.

    Hello Murray,

Despite not having the pace all weekend, Nico Rosberg had a stonking drive to 8th place, scoring points yet again!!!

The fact that Rosberg has scored all of Williams points this season, is Kazuki Nakakjima on borrowed time at Williams? He has shown flashes of brilliance, quali at Silverstone, his drive in Turkey until that pit stop.

Also Murray, now that we are in 'silly season', who would you like to see drive for who next season? Any hot prospects from GP2 etc.?

Hope to hear from you soon Murray

    Thanks

    Dave

P.S. 4th place for Kubica woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

  • Comment number 46.

Hi Murray, with the news that the belgian gp is considering alternating with the Nurburgring, would it be a tragedy to not have spa on the calendar every year?

  • Comment number 47.

Also, does anyone else think that the times of F1 races are annoying. For instance I go to church every Sunday, and usually miss the first 1/2 hour of the race. Please Bernie postpone all races to 2pm British time.

  • Comment number 48.

    Hi

just a quick question, At the start of the season it was said the driver with the most race wins would win the title regardless of the points. The points would only come into account when 2 or more driver had the same number of race wins.

Every time I watch the races on TV this is never mentioned instead all that is spoken about is the 2nd 3rd and 4th placed drivers catching Button on points and threatening his title

If the title is on race wins then Buttons nearest challenger would be Vettel with 2 race wins against Buttons 6 wins

With only 5 races remaining Vettel would have to surely win all 5 races to go above on race wins.

So if the season is to be decided on race and any other driver other than Vettle wins the next race will this mean Button is the 2009 champion.

Or has the rules been changed back to the one with the most points wins

    Kapa

  • Comment number 49.

    Hello Murray,

    Another quick wee question!

If Alonso does indeed move to Ferrari next year, whoever his team-mate is next season be it Raikkonen or Massa or AN other, will Alonso be able to coexist with either team-mate at Ferrari given what happened with the situation at McLaren with Lewis Hamilton?

It is obvious Ferrari have strong support and faith in Massa, while Raikkonen has been strong scoring 24 points in the last 3 grand prix so it will be interesting what decision the Tifosi will make.

    Thanks

    Dave

P.S. I wonder if we are related somehow, as my surname is Walker....we can all dream!!

  • Comment number 50.

    Great stuff Murray.

To answer your question Kapa, the FIA broke their own rules and tried to introduce the ruling too late in the season i.e. thank goodness for FOTA's intervention! Hopefully that's the last we've heard of the silly ruling:

  • Comment number 51.

    ARI for president ,
we must keep Silverstone for the UK GP
