So far it's Labour on 6 seats, Con 1, LD 1 Green 0 Plaid Cymru 2 ...

Comments coming in. There've been claims of electoral irregularities in Oldham ... that's handy to know ... Theresa May says the Conservatives are halfway up a mountain and Peter Hain has been telling Sky News that the results so far are "uncomfortable for Labour" ...

Oh .. Torfaen result coming in. Except the graphics are showing Llanelli on the plasma screen. And the preview screen isn't working.

Just as well there's time to rehearse Election night and live it all twice.

And seeing as how I'm going to try and blog throughout the night (apologies now to Huw Edwards if I ignore him at any crucial moments) I might as well give it a go.

Just been told to concentrate. Any tips on juggling?

Good luck for the marathon. The first result is not due until 1am and the programme starts at 10.35pm so what are you and Huw going to be talking about that hasnt already been talked about in the two and a half hours before the first result?

Official answer? We'll be bouncing around Wales, getting a taste of the mood in counts, talking to nervous candidates who are prepared to put their head on the block ... we've commissioned a poll asking everything you can imagine OTHER than how people intend to vote (don't get me started on that one again) ... hearing what the Wales 60 made of the campaign at their do down in the Senedd ... Honestly? Any and everything we can possibly think of.

Shwmai Betsan,

Will the 成人快手 Wales coverage of the elections be streamed over the web for the benefit of us Welshmen living in England without digital TV?

Diolch!

I agree George. If Rhodri Morgan (or Tony Blair) had refused to visit Labour's main target seat in Wales (if they had one this time around), it would be a bit of a story.

No doubt Bourne and Cameron have snubbed the bigot - but its not a story. Why is that?

Postman's knock is reaching epidemic proportions...

This morning my husband heard a knock at the door. He was actually in the hallway and didn't get to the door before the leaflet was posted and the 'canvasser' was skipping down the path. When he opened the door she skipped back across the garden (hasn't anyone heard of paths?) to ask if they could count on our vote. When my husband said no, the permasmile dropped from her lips and she grumbled 'well you won't be needing this then', grabbing the leaflet back out of the letterbox!

I can't believe it - surely once its through our door its theft to remove it again??? In any case, I thought that the point of canvassing was to endear yourselves to the electorate rather than lose votes with menaces!

Congratulations to... the Vale of Glamorgan Conservatives, for showing worse customer service than British Gas.

Will Tony Blairs "statement" on his successor have any bearing onthe outcome of the election?
So far English issues appear to have failed to impact on the campaign trail.

On the anorak trail, where or what is the most unusual polling station in use on Thursday, me I'll be voting in a seamstress shop, and thats no stitch up unlike the labour leadership race over the border

re postmans knock - got all excited when ther was a knock at the door - at last I thought a candidate doing some last minute canvassing - sadly not;only the milk man come for his money. No chance of milking any concessions from him.

looking at the odds from Karl on Vaughan's blogs, fancy a wager on Ron to win caerphilly and the Independents to hold the balance of power in the Bay.

Is Derek Brockway standing, there have been more phone calls and passers by singing his praises during the miday phone-in than for the politicians.
Derek for First Minister then!

I know I have just moved to Torfaen from Warwickshire, but I did not know about the voting system here until I turned on the bbc programme at 10:30 tonight. No-one has been here from any party, and their literature has been pitiful! My partner says she thinks she voted for the Labour woman last time because she liked her smile on the leaflet!

Welcome to Torfaen Paul Meredith - my dad was from Warwickshire and moved here after WWII. Nothing has changed in all that time in that we still don't know what is going on here! No one tells us and its a devil's own job to find out. The comment: 'I went to Wales once and it was shut' is not an exaggeration and I never realised it until I lived in other areas of the UK. So, no surprise that this 'election campaign' has been kept quiet - let people know too much and they might want change things which would be far too much bother!
