Looks like Motherwell and Wishaw may be the first to declare.
That is the seat currently held by one McConnell, J.
Wonder if he'll also be first in the race to govern Scotland?

I wonder how many people in Motherwell and Wishaw chose a postal vote, and whther they actually got their paper?
You were absolutely right Brian, completely disgraceful that the system failed.
Your sitting right next to Suntan Tommy, I heard he was offering free sunbeds for primary school children.
Tommy Sheridan just mentioned the difficulty smaller parties have in securing airtime. Since the Scottish system is so different from the three party Westminster system that the broadcast rules are based on, is there a case to be made for looking at the rules again?

Yes! I can't wait. This is the best election night yet.
First time in a long time that I am sitting up to await the results....have a feeling that it could be a historic occasion. Have voted labour all my days - but now moved to SNP - It's time for independence. I bet people from other EU countries wonder what we are scared of! But the whole campaign by labour has disgusted me - G Brown and his comments about not being able to speak to relatives in England; problems with currency if we adopt the Euro (but Gordon, Scottish notes are not legal tender right now!); Won't work with Alex Salmond (but will work with Martin McGuinness) and on and on and on....we are not silly children Gordon, stop trying to tell us fairy tales!
Jack McConnel should never be a leader for scotland as he does not want more power for Scotland this tells me that he is blairs puppet and does and does what he is told by blair even though it not in Scotland best interest.

First Minister was forced to walk around the outside of the Kingdom Centre during a visit to Glenrothes this week, because of rules laid down by management.
Jack McConnell visited the Co-op supermarket on Monday, greeting customers and staff, before having coffee in Bayne's the bakers, in the Postgate.
But the Labour party leader was forced to walk the long way round, outdoors, as the policy of the Kingdom Centre owners, Co-operative Insurance Services, would not allow him to walk through the shopping mall.
A spokeswoman for owners CIS, told The Gazette: "I believe that one of Jack McConnell's assistants approached centre management with regards to his visit to the Co-op Supermarket, and during this discussion I understand that they were advised of the Centre's policy regarding no political activity or campaigning allowed in the malls themselves."
the reason iam laughing is in your report with jack he said he wanted to do more for our town centres well how is he going to do this if he`s not allowed into private owned centers and the amazing thing is in the same centre your panel member henry mcleish was also walking in the centre
