And now, to prepare you for tonight's full Lee Nelson experience, here are a few words from the man himself:

Lee on... Lee
My name is Lee Nelson and I'm a massive legend. I live in London and I got my own TV show called Lee Nelson's Well Good Show. Over 600 million people r watching every week and since it come out I've banged 7 birds. Quality! If u missed an episode don't worry I'm sure u can sort urself a copy off someone from China.

Lee on... Omelette
Omelette is my best mate, we grew up together and I've known him since he was an egg. All u need to know about Omelette is that he's a fat legend, nuf said. We have a right larf together on my show and I get him to do stuff he well don't want to do - like we stripped him to his pants, covered him in cream and got a dog to lick it off. Qwaliteeee!

Lee on... his Nan
Every show I get my Nan to sing a qwality tune by like Dizzee or Wiley or The Streets. She's got the worst voice ever, it's proper funny. I luv my nan though and I respect her generation - I mean if u think we got it tough now back in the day a Gillette only had 1 blade!

Lee on... Jason Bent
Jason Bent is a well brilliant Premier League footballer and he's given us 110% access to his life as a footballer in his own reality TV show 110% Bent.

Shockingly un-funny. Really bad. How 6 episodes got commissioned I will never know... shame.

  • Comment number 2.

it was appalling! I hope they don't continue with this show!!

  • Comment number 3.

How can you say it wasn't funny? It was funny. The bloke's funny and the sketches are funny. They are.

  • Comment number 4.

...but the fat bloke was terrible - really embarrassing, and he made me feel queasy. They should ditch him and the bloke's nan. She was shocking, too.

  • Comment number 5.

The worst program the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ have ever shown. An inexorably downward trend for the return on investment of my licence fee.

You're getting worse Beeb, sort it

And if people still think this is funny check out the Scott Mills clip. Scott looks genuinely embarassed. Twitter is awash with how bad this program is. Can it now and put repeats on

  • Comment number 6.

On the plus side this made Ali G look funny, and who knew that was possible?

  • Comment number 7.

this show is sooooo rubbish..nothing is funny AT ALL
i went to see the show recorded at even the audience didnt it funny so they did the some parts of the sketch again until we laughed loud enough so he could have another series he said...QUALITTYYYYYY -not.

  • Comment number 8.

Truly, awful. Seemingly a combination of Chris Evans, Harry Enfield and Topgear and yet somehow, worse. I hope this rubbish dissappears soon

  • Comment number 9.

Simon Brodkin is a capable character actor but this show is terrible. It should never have been aired.

  • Comment number 10.

one of the most unfunny chavvy shows iv ever watched we are supposed to be not letting this chav behavior carry on not inspiring more people to act like that.
and as for the fat bloke stuffing his face on the sofa he sets a bad image to children and makes me feel physicaly ill.

  • Comment number 11.

Kids shouldn't be watching should they? It's justva bit of stupid fun. If you don't like it don't watch it. Simple. I happen to think it's quite a clever show. Chavs need to be ridiculed.

  • Comment number 12.

Lee Nelsons "Well Good Show" is "Well Bad" its so Ali G init, I quite liked Ali G but this show isnt funny, it just shows how desparate we are as viewers if we put up with this sort of rubbish.

  • Comment number 13.

I've watched 10 minutes of this programme and can't bear to watch any more. Quite frankly, I find it embarrassingly unfunny. From the casual drug reference, to the audience's disgusted reaction at an old woman, this programme is shocking and should never have been commissioned.

  • Comment number 14.

I guess this show isn't for everyone, but if you don't like it, simply and easily follow these steps:
    1. Pick up your remote controll
    2. press the button that most commonly looks like a circle with a line at the top.
    3. Get on with your life and try not to be as miserable as your comments.
    Simple!

is suitably acceptable as an alternative to register my distaste. That was how the previous comment was meant to go, but I apparently typed the url in recklessly, and now I seem like a fool.

  • Comment number 18.

An exceptionally bad piece of TV, I can't even begin to imagine why the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ thought this was a reasonable show to air. Leave this stuff to channel 4 and spend the license fee on something worthwhile please!

  • Comment number 19.

Wow, this really is a dog of a show. People here saying it's chavvy have missed the point, it's supposed to hold a mirror up to chav-culture and get laughs out of it. It's just a shame it's so terribly bad at it.

This one can go down in the archives with Horne and Cordens sketch show as another significant miss by ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three. Come on guys, find us another gem like Boosh or Gavin and Stacey, you can't rely on Family Guy and American Dad episodes forever.

  • Comment number 20.

tis a well good show innit, simple humour and dryer than a camel's arse! what more do you want?? we are english and appreciate proper humour without the boundaries. 'nuff respect'. wid a big phat LOL!

  • Comment number 21.

Probably the worst piece of trash even shown on bbc. a ripoff of Mathew Horne, ali g and maybe david walliams. woeful

  • Comment number 22.

    very poor indeed

This show is AWFUL it's a disgrace to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ and the license payers, The guy is not funny, the topics are not funny it's just bad taste all round.Who is the target audience exactly ? It's so childish you'd think it was for kids... and as for the bit : "How many people have you banged ?"... well I'm gobsmacked that the Beeb actually thinks people will find this funny.... please please please get rid of this show and give us something that really is "Well Good" !

  • Comment number 25.

The difference between, say, Al Murray and Lee Nelson is that with The Pub Landlord, the comedian's wit and intelligence shines through every daft comment his character makes. Nelson's jokes are as insultingly dim-witted as his "chav" character, and often deeply unoriginal, too. God knows why I bothered checking out week 2, but it confirmed my first impression. Painfully unfunny. Bring back KLANG!

  • Comment number 26.

Undoubtedly one of the most innovative and original comedy shows of recent years - I thought it was well good. Perhaps some of the more recent posters would feel more comfortable with yet more repeats of Last of the Summer Wine, Friends etc.

  • Comment number 27.

There really is something very, very wrong with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ comedy set up if dross like this is getting commissioned. Just painfully bad.

  • Comment number 28.

this show rocks man!! i love it! lee nelson is soo funny (:

  • Comment number 29.

Wow! Surprising how so many people dont rate this show, i really think this is so funny! Its got me laughing my head off every thursday night, its just brilliant!

  • Comment number 30.

This show is not funny. It is embarrasing. It patronises the young and it patronises Londoners. Just what you'd expect from the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, unfortunately. Probably commissioned by by middle-aged execs who live in Bucks.

  • Comment number 31.

  • Comment number 32.

I find this hilariously funny, the best ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ comedy I have seen in ages. I was thoroughly shocked to read such negative comments. If you don't like it, turn over. Congratulations to the writers and especially to "Lee".

  • Comment number 33.

Im sorry but this show was not in my definition good comedy. I have a wide range of taste from Faulty Towers to more modern shows like Mongrels if a bit dark, but this was just poor. Come on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ if your not going to show the classics get in some good script writers who will come up with the goods.

  • Comment number 34.

Awful. Awful awful awful. I really cannot describe how bad I think this programme is. Why is my license fee being used for this and not for original intelligent comedy like Karen Taylor?

And please don't say he's being 'ironic'...

  • Comment number 35.

Perfect for anyone recovering from a lobotomy. Utter vulgar dross.

  • Comment number 36.

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ please please, do something about the dumbing down of television, is this what things have come to? the show is so bad if more of the publics money is wasted on this kind of rubbish you are going to give them even more of a reason to stop paying the licence fee.

Bad, really really bad. Please stop wasting money on producing such crap.....!

  • Comment number 37.

is well show if u dont like it dont watch it and dont come on his blog and bad mouth the show

  • Comment number 38.

if people look past the accent, you will see an etremly funny comedian

  • Comment number 39.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you enjoy his humour, watch it. Simple as that. Personally, I think the show is great and will continue to watch it and hope that it continues!

  • Comment number 40.

I absolutely loathe this show!, it really is terrible. The 'comedian' just shouts 'qualiteeee' a lot and he tells gags which are unoriginal & unfunny whilst getting the audience to cheer for no good reason and the sketches consist of one joke told over and over again. To make matters worse, every episode is repeated at least 4 times a week which is unnecessary. I hope that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ3 team have read all of the many negative comments about the show and axe it!

  • Comment number 41.

I also loathe this show so much that I created a bbc ID just to comment on how bad it is, and ultimately aid in getting the show axed. Is it a show for chavs, or a show for people who dislike chavs? I am not quite sure of the target audience here bbc. I tried to watch it with an open mind, but I really couldnt make it past the 5 minute mark. Awful production, and totally unworthy of ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ time.

  • Comment number 42.

Who commissioned this show? probably the same person that commissioned 'mongrels', two awful comedy moves in succession . make some new radio show 'old harry's game' and bring back 'the thick of it' and give kevin bridges his own show! shame on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, keep British comedy alive!

  • Comment number 43.

I think Lee is Qwaliteee he has me in stiches shame he doesn't float everyones boat on here but I personally think he is quite clever.....and cheers my Thursday nights up :)

  • Comment number 44.

Before condemning this programme consider that 'My Family' has been with us for 10 years now - at least 5 years too long(10 in my view).
As for poor taste Jonathan Ross exhibits it in everything he does & is paid millions. Norton is close behind.
I'm surprised by how po-faced most of these reviews are. Brodkin's material is fairly original & mostly entertaining ( OK maybe not the singing nan or 'say it in an accent') & his audience interaction is as good as it gets. Frank Skinner can't deliver better.
The problem with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ is not stuff like this but bilge like 'Waterloo Road' & 'Doctors'.

  • Comment number 45.

I would honestly rather have the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ actually commission "Monkey Tennis" Or "Inner-City Sumo" that the great Alan Partridge (probably the best comedy the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ ever put out) suggested.
It's gone so downhill since then I wouldn't even be surprised to see something like that actually hit the screens.
What a tragic waste of investment, as I feel anybody with an IQ above room temperature would completely disregard this show, however that doesn't seem to be who the programmes are aimed at anymore....
Same can be said for that absolutely appalling show "Mongrels". The humour is pretty much non-existant. It seriously makes me cringe, much like "Coming of Age".
All of this is happening whilst Jonathan Ross, one of the last remaining good shows, comes to an end...

  • Comment number 46.

anyone who dislike this show is sat on a highhorse and obviously doesnt see it for what it is a perfect representation of chavs.now im northern and il ever see is chavs speakin and acting in this way but steriotypicaly trhis is what i see londerners to act like so get off your arrogant buts and enjoy life instead of condeming something you dont understand

  • Comment number 47.

seeing so much of negative feed back, i disagreed with them. the show is funny, maybe not to others, but lee brought me joy. i discussed his show to my colleague and his liked it too.

it is worth of testing the water, bbc. lee nelson's not as offensive as some comedians, like frankie boyle, he laughs at himself, he interacts with people instead of abusing them.

i really like the show and i hope lee would continue bring me fun. ;-)

  • Comment number 48.

I think the majority of people that write stuff like this on here, are a trolls for having nothing better to do, or people that are just outdated and want to stick to the older 'more funny' Comedies, well welcome to the 21st century, the newer generations growing up, dont wanna watch stuff like QI, or NVM the buzzcocks (i love these shows btw) i guess we just need to move over and let these types of shows happen

  • Comment number 49.

LEE NELSON I LOVE YOU X

  • Comment number 50.

The most unfunny program I've seen all year.

  • Comment number 51.

Sketch (ish) show, so bound to be a bit mixed. Some of it is really funny, and the audience interaction is good.

Not enough material for 6 episodes, though. Or maybe I made the mistake of watching the last episode first and that was just a compilation of the previous 5...

  • Comment number 52.

awww hilarious man, what a goon !

lee nelson is QUALITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ! aha

    love itttt !

  • Comment number 53.

Yet more unfunny rubbish that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ class as comedy.
The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ wouldn't know a good comedy now if it smacked 'em in the face.
The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ hasn't produced a good comedy now for 10 years plus.
Yet by law, we are made to pay for this rubbish.
If you send a separate complaint, you get the same old rigmarole about having to cater for all tastes. How about catering for the majority, as proved by almost all of comments here.
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, read these comments, and take note for once.

  • Comment number 54.

Lee Nelsons WGS is not the best piece of TV Comedy ever but it is fresh, funny and keeps moving. The character of Nelson is a vague South London stereotype but his mixture of geezer likeability and ASBO 'chav' make him constantly entertaining. Some of his one-liners to the studio audience are excellent and it takes us back to the old days of stand up. Compare this to that staid ole 1970's format sketch show Mitchell and Webb - let's face it David Mitchell is tailor made for Radio 4 and as a duo they have never been funny out of Peep Show. Lee Nelson by comparison is pure qualiteee!

  • Comment number 55.

This is not 'Terry and June' or 'Last of the Summer Wine' and does take a few shows to get into. The first one was poor to be fair, but the characters were well defined and so I stuck with it. Towards the end I started to engage more and I have to admit that I found it very funny. The only thing that spoils it for me is Doctor Bob who is simply cringeworthy, but this is the first series and these bits will be ironed out I am sure. A good first series with lots of potential.

  • Comment number 56.

I agree, Doctor Bob = very unfunny. Is that Kevin Bishop by any chance playing the Jason Bent character? Next series a new couple of characters please but keep it mainly studio and audience based, as this is when the show works best.

  • Comment number 57.

Wh at is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ thinking of. I'm talking about Lee Nelson and his "Well good show" I would really like to know, who told him he was funny? i think he's about as funny as a punctured lung.for the sake of my own sanity,I now change channel when he's on.Lee Nelson, you are the weakest link, goodbye.

  • Comment number 58.

Lee nelson is my favorite person on this planet! QUALITY!!!!!!!!!
    people stop being too serious!

  • Comment number 59.

To all those people who have slated this extremely capable comedian I just say if you don't like it don't watch it. I just went to see him at the Edinburgh fringe and thoroughly enjoyed the show. He has also received several five star reviews from respectable newspapers (all of them broadsheet) showing that the bbc have done well to commission him for not one but two series of his television show. The fact that he is playing every night throughout August and each show is selling out speaks volumes for his fan base which even surprised me. He is one of the finest comedians out there and if all these short sighted people looked past his 'chav' attire they would see that he is extemely witty and excells in audience interaction. Just give him a chance.

  • Comment number 60.

i think that lee nelson is hilarious! and should carry on more episodes:) dont like it, dont watch.

  • Comment number 61.

I can't believe what people are saying, this is so funny!I would say that it definitely appeals to the teen age group and above because all my friends love it and want more, if you are making more shows please give me tickets to see you live............. I love all parts of the show as well as Doctor Bob hahahahahahaha, and his interaction with the audience - nothing needs to change

  • Comment number 62.

Auwful show, im 17 i got to college i drink, so why dont i find this funny? I am after all the target audience, this is im afraid the worst most basic attempts at humour by an apparent adolesont man, it uses cheap gags like swear words and sexual references to give simple minded viewers the feeling of humour.
To thoes who say 'watch something else' - allow me to say i bloody well did, a repeate of 'emedale' was better than that crap
To thoes who say ' Stop coming on here and posting its sad' - No my friends, the more people post negetive comments on here the more likely that there will be no further development of this 'progran'
And finaly to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, you give us hours of great entertainment, please stop dumbing yourself down to gain a few teenage viewers, because 1. it dosnt work on all of us (i.e Me) and 2. You are pushing other viewers away from other new programs and to other networks.

  • Comment number 63.

It amazes me that I found a show so bad that I've spent 20 mins creating a user id just so that I can comment on how apalling it truly is. Lee Nelson's show is so unfunny, it actually goes out the other side and becomes offensively awful. Words fail me. The person responbsible for okaying this show should be made to place his lips between his buttocks and blow raspberries until he prolapses. I have defended the bbc repeatedly despite declining quality for many years. I would rather push my money up a stoat's bottom than pay my license fee to promote this kind of worthless, unpleasant drivel.

    Simon

  • Comment number 64.

    I bloody loved this show!

I'd seen some of the preview clips and found myself completely uninterested in, if not downright repelled by, the main chav-like character, 'Lee', so avoided it like the plague, until one night I found myself with bugger all else to watch; but, much to my surprise, I absolutely loved the show, ESPECIALLY 'Lee'! Even his catchphrase "quali'y", (pronounced "qual-i-eee!" with a huge glottal stop on the 't', or so it sounds to me), didn't get on my t*ts.

I loved all the characters, except the trendy, right on, young person's TV host who's actually quite accurate for the type but you don't have a sense of Lee feeling anything like the authentic affection if not downright love he pours into, say, Doctor Bob or Jason Bent.

Anyone making British character films should recruit this guy immediately: he's capable of Academy award standard levels of performance; but for god sakes, don't let East Enders anywhere near him!

I love lee nelson!! If you don't like watching it, then there over 900 channels on tv (if you have sky) and not that much less if you have other providers) just change the channel! It's like football, they put that on normal tv channels...do i want to watch it?? No..so what do i do? change the channel and forget about it! There are worse things on tv than this show.. you can always watch something you would LIKE to watch, for instance!

  • Comment number 67.

i hope beyond all hope this nonsence is never shown again EVER! not funny not amusing in any way or form only saw it as i was waiting for the programme after i couldnt endure a seris of this gunff

  • Comment number 68.

you can say just watch somthing else but the fact we pay a TV licence to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ which is law means we have every right to complain about what our money is spent on
