Miranda and the man from Skins

Hi there. I hope everyone is well and happy.

We have some exciting guests in this weeks episode. Any Come Dine with Me fans? I love that show. Well, in this episode we only have Dave Lamb, the voice of Come Dine with Me. He plays Colin the Businessman. Very funny and also one of the nicest men I know.

The girls on the show this week all went a bit funny because of another guest. We had sexy Luke Pasqualino from Skins. No disrespect to Dave Lamb of course - I am sure there were just as many women going funny for him too. But Luke does happen to be 20 and incredibly, well, lovely. In the studio for this episode we had a hotel room set, so there was a bed, and at various intervals I would see women unashamedly asking Luke to lie on the bed and have their photograph taken with them. I think that might have included Patricia Hodge. Not a way to treat a guest actor. Very bad form. (I have my photo on my beside table.)

This week's episode is the directors (the fabulous Juliet May) favourite script. And I think the one I probably enjoyed doing the most. That could have been something to do with the dancing to Billy Joel. Enjoy...

P.S. The toy duck in the clip is mine, and it amuses me every time. Sometimes when writing from home and hitting a bad patch, I would get out the duck for cheering purposes. Me, unhinged? How dare you.

Miranda (the sitcom) continues tonight at 8.30pm on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Two. Read more from Miranda (the lady) before each episode here on the Comedy Blog.

After listening to my missus laugh out loud for the last 3 episodes I gave in and reluctantly watched tonights. To my surprise it was great! In fact it was fantastic!
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Loving it - all programmes should end in a dance!

Going straight to the point: your amazingness makes me dizzy. (Was that too "much"?)

Now there is something excellent about Mondays and as natsy said, all programmes should end in a dance.

Oooh Miranda wonderful! More please - blow the 'orrible weather and the recession. This cheers me up. I do love Tom Ellis too and all your lovely cast. They look as though they are enjoying themselves. See you next week (no pressure then)!

Sorry Miranda lovers, but the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ have wasted all our money by funding another old fashioned comedy in the style of My Family. Miranda is fine for middle aged women, but the classy programs of the past like: The Office, Royle Family, Extras etc are a thing of the past. Lead Balloon is the only good quality sitcom the bbc have made for a few years now. Bring on Series 4 please!

Hello Miranda, I just caught the latest episode on I-player. LOL-funny as with all previous. What a shame you aren't on every night!
    Cheers, Chris.
PS I'm no good at chat-up lines either, but I would have agreed that you were definitely first-class.

    Dear Miranda,
I don't normally write on these blog things (it involves signing in and giving a username and sorts of other rather complicated things) however, I felt compelled to do so on this occasion. You are by far the funniest person on television and I think your show is wonderful! I very much wish that i knew you personally and could visit you for a laugh whenever I felt like it!

So well done - cheers, K

Miranda and the team, this is one of the funniest and most original bits of comeday in many a year, well done.

I haven't stopped laughing and was indeed in a football crowd on Saturday with a pal siging 'What have you done today, to make me feel proud', with all that Heather Small stalted nasal quality. In fact, my mate has just sent me the sound recording of it via the mobile.

It's absolute class, and quality and it finishes with 'you have been watching....', which is always the sign of breeding where comedy is concerned.

    Keep up the good work.

I want to congratulate you on a fantastic series, but mainly on this amazing episode. My daughters (age 15&13) and I have watched it over and over, never failing to laugh especially at your 'sachet over to the sachet'. Your rendition of mistletoe and wine is brilliant.

We cant wait for the new series. Hurry up!!! Mondays wont be the same without you.

I agree with your director, this episode was superb. My two daughters 17 and 14 loved it too and have got their friends into it. Congratulations on the new series.
