Weekend fun as winning run continues
Well, if anyone had anywhere near as good a weekend as me, you will be in great spirits this week!
There's not a lot I'm able to say on Annan's great result at the weekend, except to say I wasn't missed in the slightest.
In fact, I've even heard that the boys are chipping in to send me away on another trip!
My phone battery died as I sat on the ship waiting for the captain to get the engine started for our return journey to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
So I was relying on my Uncle Doug to get the updates.
I must say that it just added to what was one of the best weekends of my life when the goals kept coming.
Even if we were getting some strange looks for the singing and dancing that was going on in our group.
I spoke to Derek Townsley on Tuesday and he was delighted with how things went and even said that we should have scored more - but let's not be greedy!
That result gives us a bit of breathing space from both Elgin and Berwick, and takes us on to the same number of points as Albion.
Needless to say, I was getting some stick from friends and family asking me if it's any coincidence that we've had two victories on the trot when I've been missing from the side.
Now, I don't know what the secret is, but long may it continue. Even though I know it means I'll have my work cut out getting back into the starting line-up.
I know I promised you stories from my trip to at the weekend, but would you believe me if I said I could hardly remember?
Only kidding. I promise I wasn't that bad.
We kicked-off at 11am on Friday morning and I eventually got home at 1.20am on Monday - not bad for an old man!
There are so many stories, I don't even know where to begin.
First of all, I never realised that a game of bingo could be so hilarious - yes you have all read that correctly, I said bingo!
Funniest thing of the weekend, however, was bumping into a guy from Newcastle.
He asked me if my father's name was Colin, which it is, and then proceeded to tell me he was sitting in his room drinking vodka in the worst pair of underpants you're likely to see!
He takes me along to a roomful of Geordies (cracking lads by the way) and there's my dad, sitting with a glass in hand in his maroon Y Fronts.
Apparently he wandered out of his room looking for the toilet and got lost. So these kind lads had taken him in!
Seriously, you couldn't make that stuff up.
Anyway, if you want more stories you'll need to leave me some comments asking for them this week - I'm off to Edinburgh for more celebrations!

The place is awake 24/7 and the people are always up for some banter with tourists. Did you sneak off to any ''shows''??
Think you might get packed off to Amsterdam every week if your team keeps winning without you... everyone's a winner then!!
Keep up the good work!
