How good is Cliff's calendar?

Chris Evans | 10:43 UK time, Monday, 5 September 2011

He's done it again. Action Cliff for 2012. The guy is 71 for crying out loud, and he looks younger than I do.

Cowboy Cliff seems to be the smash hit snap, but swimming with Dolphin Cliff can't be far behind.

The famous man of God is becoming a God like man. Whatever he's on, we all want some. Please advise if you have any ideas whatever any of it might be.

    Morning CLP!

I would say "glad to be back" but I'd be lieing (sp?) so I'll just say Nic and I had a fabulous week off work, York is Amazing with a capital A, Drayton Manor was full of 'orrible kids and stressed parents, and I did some baking over the weekend!

As for Cliff .... how does he do it? The words of your blog today remind me of a conversation that took place in 2008 as I celebrated my 40th birthday, and Madonne her 50th (she is the day before me).

Me: Wow! Here's wishing I look that good when I get to 50
Ex-Husband: I wish you looked that good now ...

The clue is in the "Ex" bit ....

    Back later, hopefully ....

Christoff, Cliff is a legend and I love his muisic, always have done and always will. I think most people on this blog know that, certainly Chrissie does!

Look forward to having you back tomorrow, Chrissie. Hope you're settling in nicely x

Sun's got its hat on, not sure for how long though, it's looking decidedly dodgy!

    Morning all

Thanks for all the birthday wishes here and there and everywhere

I'm having a lovely lazy morning and soon my boys are going to take me out for lunch - at least I think that's the plan!

I definately agree that Cliff is one of the good guys! Not sure I'd like to share my kitchen with him for a whole year but each to their own!

My calendar has to be one of those that has lots of spaces for all the different things we do and I would be completely lost without it!

    Hello CE & Everyone.

Rain & wind here in Wirral today.

Way back in the 60's I had an argument with my brother about who would last the longest, he said Cliff and I said The Beatles. Well Paul McCartney is still going strong!

I think that Cliff is a good example of clean living and maybe the fact that he's remained a batchelor boy. Whatever it is I hope he continues for a good while longer.

I've never been one for celebrity calendars but having had a glimpse of this one I might just make an exception.

Cliff, well i have to admit to liking some of his songs but only when I`m not in company so ssshhh..dont tell anyone! Have not yet seen the calendar but I`ll tell you what CLP.. hearing you each morning, reading your MoS columns and this `ere blog I reckon you are onto a cracking thing too. The fact you seem so joyous and upbeat about life is testament to you enjoying it so much. Cant promise the `Godlike` bit but crikey..please keep it up!

Deevs..welcome back lovely! York is indeed a beautiful place and the GM and I are so lucky that we only live a half hour train ride away.. couple of times a year we pop over for the day on a Sunday and often just sit by the river and chilling...bliss!
bit disappointed in you not doing the standy up coaster at DM tho! hee hee..

Ali - hope you are rested after your mammoth food making this weekend!

MM and Pen - loving the BOLD letters! I missed that lesson so shall have to try and find out how to do it!

CSN - lovely to see you and also Joran popping in...

Annie - hope you are feeling bit brighter...

Sun is shining here currently..but since this morning we`ve had gale force winds, torrential rain, VERY dark skies and also some drizzle... proper mixture so I`m not holding out much hope of the yellow thing remaining out!

    Evening each

Cliff? Did I miss something this morning? Is it monkey glands Chris?? Now I loved Cliff when I was about 15 - saw him in Newcastle with the Drifters - he was wearing black with shocking pink tie and socks - and no, I didn't scream - was too shy. But when is he going to roll down his sleeves? Wish someone would tell him that's sooooo eighties!!

Anyway - been a gorgeous day today. Beetled off to see new baby and picked up the ex as he hasn't seen him yet. How good am I? Actually not very good as I opened the car window so I couldn't hear him waffle rubbish.

Back in a bit when I've caught up. xxxxx

  • Comment number 25.

Scoobs - loved it - but am definitely not trying for bold or blue!!!!

Sezza - Happy Burpday. Party in the park sounds wonderful.

Must be my birthday - just been taken out for pizza and wine!

Annie, Hope you had a lovely huggle with the little baby. There was a tiny, tiny baby in Sainsbugs when i had lunch and it was just precious

Can't tell you how much i am looking forward to Sunday. Mr Sezza says that when he booked there was only Lionel Richie announced and just about everyone they've added since is someone we'd like to see

Only downside is we're not able to take the boys this time. They're going to Nanny and Grandad for the night so they'll have fun and be thoroughly spoilt!

Anyway, it is what it is and the consumate professionalism of me and my team will fix it.....

    and breath...... LOL!

Right - Sezza whoo hoo! Picnic in the park, fab, so glad you got your wish :-D

Scoobs, LOL about your lack of "bold" success, it made me chuckle :-D if I'm honest the instructions scared me never to attempt it!

Very busy at mo so not much tme to pop in lately.

We had a great last weekend went to a falconry centre near York and the GD held barn and tawny owls, while the little bother looked on, I think sseeing whether he could eat it or play with it.

First day back at school for the GD yesterday, big girl in year 1 now, dropped her off and not even a backward glance as she found all her friends from last year :( for Dad but ;) for her.

Hope everyone's well, I'm looking forward to CiN in Nov - hotel and train booked now!

    Hi everyone:

Hope everyone is ok. I haven't had a chance to catch up, but did have a wee run-through last night:

Cheryl: good to see you had a great holiday.

Debs: you too - looks like you really enjoyed your time off.

Annie: sorry to see you weren't too well - hope you are back to feeling fine. xx

Sezza: I know I missed your birthday - hope you had a lovely day. I see your husband is a bit of a star - fabulous pressie from him! I hope you both have a terrific time on Sunday - I am so envious!

Can I just say thank you to everyone for their lovely wee messages - I really appreciate them. xx

Well, we did survive the move, but it was a close-run thing. Everything was going swimmingly until MrS came downstairs with the "last of the stuff" from the loft: I didn't mind the guitars, the amplifiers, even the little filing cabinet which houses all his guitar books. But I just about lost it when he came back down, brandishing a tambourine! I mean, I ask you. After a discussion, which at one point looked like it would end in tears (his!) we managed to negotiate that several of the musical accoutrements could find another home!

Please, please remind me to never attempt anything like this again!

    Happy Wednesday, all!

    C xx

    Hi Andy,

It is a good line up, but I agree that I too haven't warmed to anyone yet - I'll see how they shape up once the competition gets under way. Hope the GD gets on OK, this time of year is tough for the parents as well as the kids xx

    Chrissie,

Lovely to see you back and I am glad that you have survived, I chuckled about the tambourine! I hope you and MrS will be very happy in your new home xx

Chrissie, glad the move went well, what do you mean you chucked out the tamborine! I'd love one! It would be a GREAT thing to use to annoy my GD - hippy trippy mother shaking her tamborine every time she has a boy round!

Ali - dont know how you are back in summer clothes, I had the heating on last night and for the first time in months am working at home with both back doors firmly shut :-(

    Ok so that bit worked

    How about this?

Chrissie, good to see you back and all in one piece. Mr Sezza mentioned the mere hint of a possibility of a suggestion of maybe moving one day in the dim and distant future when they build on all the green belt surronding us and I nearly burst into tears! Hope you get settled quickly. Are you far from the old place?

My little boy towered over me this morning in his white shirt - a sign that he only has 2 years left of senior school! Wouldn't let me take a cute photo though!

Right, best see how long this fit of workiness is going

Baggy, hope new job is going well and Deevs, Well, it's Wednesday now - nearly the weekend!

    Hiya:

Just to say to Rips - a wee bit of an emotional day, but very exciting. Hope your wee girl had a great day.

Andy: how lovely your daughter is quite settled at school, and just slotted back in. But it does tug at the old heart strings, I know.

AliB: thank you. Re: Strictly, I always think I can take it or leave it, but I always get really caught up in it! Unfortunately I really don't warm to Nancy-what's-her-face and of course Lulu is one my most least favourite celebrities, but good luck to them. I would quite like Jason to win (already!)

Debs: my mojo is in overdrive, so you can have some of mine. I am utterly hyper - will have to calm down at some point! You'll get yours back, never fear.

CSN: hiya. Don't do too much housework - it'll all need done again tomorrow! Nice to hear the grandchildren are back at pre-school.

Keith: sorry about your posts not going through. Especially when mine are always too long!

Sezza: take my advice - don't move! Divert Mr Sezza in some way ... whatever it takes! Thanks for asking: we have just moved a good bit closer to the shops, train station, dreaded pub, etc. I left the flat this morning at 7.33 for the 7.55 train. I arrived at the station at 7.36 - I won't make that mistake tomorrow!

    C xx

p.s. now hoping this will post!

    Hello Everyone.

Cold, rain & wind here, winter draws on!

I'm a bit wary of posting at the moment as I fear that I may talk nonsense (What's new, I hear you cry!). The reason being that since I completed my steroid course last week I haven't been sleeping and unlike CLP I'm not much good on three hours a night.

Good luck to those with little ones going back to school.

I wonder how Alex Jones will do in SCD.

Chrissie-how do you do the list? And even despite moving which I'm glad went well (except for the tambourine ha ha!)

PS A little song for Chrissie:
