Hot - What - No - Warning.

Chris Evans | 21:02 UK time, Tuesday, 31 August 2010

Properly pink after an unexpected burst of August 31st sun. I would pose a piccie, but it'll put you off anything you might be looking forward to.

Where'd that weekend go? Where did August go? Where'd 2010 all of a sudden disappear to?

There are a few different years within the normal Jan to December. The financial year, your own birthday year - for me April 1st + 12 months.

September 1st is definitely that for a lot of people. The NEW SCHOOL YEAR is here !!!

Party on people, it will soon be Christmas and our first year on Breakfast will be over.

Now that really is crazy.

    Hello!

Did you fall asleep in the sunshine Chris and forget us?

Nearly a whole year since the Bye Bye Drive Time at the O2!!

Talk about wishing our life away!

I'm just getting ready to wave boy2 off to big school - he's fine, very excited!

    Me? I'll let you know!

Annie, is the daddy-long-legs avoiding the paper for a reason? Is he fed up with the whole journalistic industry or has he read it already?

Late one tonight Christoph, but glad to see you all the same.
I agree, where does the time go? Don't you find that the older you get, the faster it goes too? Lend me Marky Mark for a bit will you, perhaps he can slow it down for me!

Ta ta for now, Lin x

Well hallo Chris - I know, this year has flown by but I think that's what happens as you get older - Bums.

Seza, the daddy long legs has vanished, just hope it hasn't found my bedroom. I'm on DLL watch with the newspaper and the spider hoover thingy.

We would love a picture of you CLP, better than having to look at those peculiar Big Brother people.

Where did the year go to indeed but I think we are yet to enjoy an Indian summer before we start thinking about Christmas.

It might as well rain until September comes to mind!

Just got in, nice to see a new blog. Thanks CLP.

I've had 'one' of those days.

The drunk falling at my feet in Bridgwater at 4.30 this afternoon, seemed to kick start a downwards spiral of chaos.

    Hope everyone is feeling chipper.

I got badly burnt yesterday, in my determination, to have a deckchair day.

It looks like the rset of the week is going to be good too.

It always happens once they go back to school.

Mine have been off since May, so it seems lke the longest school hols ever.

One starts college on Monday then the other is off to uni in the next couple of weeks, although their term doesn't start until the beginning of October.

The washing machine is going to breathe a huge 'phew!'

Now do I put up the sign...

    Room to let ??

16 year old already thinks he is moving into it!

    No way sonny!

    Off to find some breakfast.

CSN Can't quite think about Christmas yet. Not while the suns still shining. Won't be long though. Think you'll have a fantastic Christmas this year!

Evening all, thanks for the new blog Chris!

I have just watched the surfing sporting challenge! Excellent entertainment as always! I do feel a little chilly now though....burrghhh looked cold to me!

As for those who are just a little pink...... I would get my legs slapped if I arrived home in that condition. Malignant melanoma survivor twice is enough of a warning for me not to sun worship anymore.

Baggy, please be careful at work as a person can only take so much before something has to give! I am sorry to say that I have too much personal experience in this subject not for me to worry about you. Take care and sound off on here anytime you like. x-x-x

    Keep smiling everyone

MTF I've enjoyed your nature watch bullet-ins, we had a nest of ?birds on our porch(not up on birds here yet) and we saw one of them leave the nest, the mother kept flying back and for with food and then guided him over the road and into the park it was lovely.
We named them Hewi, Lewi and Dewi - sad I know.

    Keith...

I should take more care, you know how strong the sea breeze can be here.

    Maw, not sad at all.

I got home tonight and sat down with a cold one in the back garden, it was just about dark and all the solar lights were on.

We have always had a little mouse living in our wall, but tonight,it seems he has met and married and produced a fine little family.

They feasted on croissants and weren't at all worried about us being there.

    The babies were minute!

I dont have you on fb.

I would love to see what you see over there.

    Please seek me out.

I am now hoping that my little mice are tucked up in their beds as we have lots of owls, both screeching and twit twooing!

I love Christmas and the bigger run up to it the better,I'll start my chutneys and mincemeat as soon as there's a glut in the Farmers Market. I would rather it be a bit cooler here but I will not say good bye to Summer tonight as the neighbourhood here wants to do.

MTF You have my utmost admaration and envy with all of your home grown produce I am going to start again next year.

I'll join u on the other side

Good morning everyone from a wet Ayrshire.

Second day back at work after holidays, we had a fabulous time in Aviemore and Blair Atholl (pics on other side if anyone's interested), weather was fairly kind to us most of the time.

Had to have Twix (border collie cross bearded collie) put to sleep yesterday, it was very sad at the time but she was 15 and had had a great life, will miss her though.

Hope everyone has a good day.

So sorry about Twix, Gail. It takes a great deal of courage and kindness too, to come to that decision.

    Off to see your pics.

    Hi everyone:

How lovely that Chris posted a new blog last night. The man is just wonderful, isn't he?

Gail: I was thinking of you this morning! Welcome back, I'm glad to hear you both had a great holiday. Your photographs are gorgeous - what a beautiful place. And what a shame about Twix, but as MTF says, it was courageous and kind. xx

JG: good to see you saying that things are improving in your life. xx

MaW: how lovely to see you again - and nice to see that you saw my message to you last time! Thank you, everything is just "tidy" with me!

Hope you all have a good day ... I have a feeling this might be a long one for me!
