At The Train Station With Noah, Tash and Jonny!

Chris Evans | 11:05 UK time, Friday, 26 March 2010

So here's the scoop. Haven't been able to say all week but Jonny and his family, and me and my family are going to Disneyland in Paris.

Now the reason we haven't been able to utter a peep is because it's a surprise for Jonny's kids, and they would have heard if we had said anything.

So we are off together and are very very excited !

Jonny's little boy is definitely going to explode now he knows where he is going - as might I - I have to say.

You lot keep rocking and look after yourselves.

Never been there myself. Have a good weekend all of you.

  • Comment number 3.

Arh, that is sooooo sweet. Bless you and Jonny's little boy.

Have a great time, I've done the two American ones but not since the early 90's, I'm guessing a return visit might be in order sometime.

Wishing both families a great weekend.

I went to Disneyland in Florida once and I was in a queue behind two enormous British blokes who looked like the Mitchell brothers off EastEnders. The conversation went something like this:

"Well, we've done the Dumbo ride and the teacups. What d'you want to do after this one?"

"Um, how about It's a Small World - that's supposed to be good".

These blokes were unaccompanied - not a child in sight. Love it.

Evans and Saunders in Disneyland - those kids aren't going to get a look in! Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi everyone else - lots of love.

PS 13% rise on cider? Peter Snow might as well colour the South West blue on his big election map right now.

Have a great time all of you, I hope the weather is considerably better than it is here in South West Scotland.

Exactly MTF. I can understand it on the cheap rocket fuel that rots your brain but not on the refined stuff wot us ladies drink. Good move on the stockpiling. All round to yours then!

    Morning Chris,

Have a superb weekend. We did a similar surprise for our two (when they were 7 and 5). I remember it being very hard trying to pack in secret, especially when they couldn't find their favourite clothes. The funniest thing was trying to rouse them at 4 in the morning for our flight, they thought we had gone stark staring mad (no change there then!).

Please could you post on your blog a photo or two when you get back?

Cider - typical half baked (or maybe that should be half brewed?) political nonsense - not thought through and won't hit the people whom it's aimed at, just innocent law abiding cider drinks. Cripplecock doesn't get near!

Have a good trip you lot. Me, I`ve been a bit shocked at my blog yesterday. Plus I had a little cry this morning, I`ve had sooooo much help and advice with diabetes but when it comes to depression and mental health issues in my experience there is not a lot of help, unless perhaps you have the money to pay for some councelling.

Years ago I went to see this guy who would wire you up to a stress measuring machine, then I would close my eyes while we talked through problems, he would say, "what`s worrying you at this moment?" I`d reply, "how much this is costing me!" Didn`t work!

Anyway, after yesterdays blog I`ve decided it`s time to stop blogging and listening, so fairly well CLP and fellow members of the blog.

    Bye.

    Afternoon blogspeople!

Been mostly here in a lurking capacity this week owing to a plethora of requests to deal with in the office (actually there's only really been two, but I don't often get to slip a plethora into the conversation, so I thought I'd avail myself of the opportunity).

Not sure I'll be able to check in this weekend either, so afore I go..

CSN - hope things are OK.

Those of you off up to Glasgow (or in some cases, already there) - have a cracking weekend.

    Debs - mind the step!

Billie - you should be proud of yourself and everything you've achieved. Just swap the blue football shirt for a red one and life will be complete! (P.S. Barney - I know I'm living in the past with this one, but I like the past - I was born there :-) )

Anyone with birthdays this weekend - have a good one!

Rips - enjoy the show - the pink lycra will fit in perfectly.

Nic/Deevs/MissP - good luck with the job hunting. Nic, might be an idea to keep your Cripplecock issues to yourself though, you know what they say about first impressions.

To everyone else, have a great weekend!

    Carl.

How excited did that blog sound. Bet Chris and Jonny and all their family are going to have such a good time.

We surprised our boys with a trip to Disneyland a few years ago, such good fun

No chance of mentioning you all properly but best wishes and happy birthdays and travel safelys and don't drink tooooo much at the beer festivals!!

    Two quick mentions

MTF, sorry, I was really rude last night and asked a question then went to bed. Good luck to your daughter (and you!) How are you feeling today?

Just a quickie to wish you all a fab weekend.

All those going to Scotland, have one for us please!

I've just spent the last 90 minutes doing 3 pre-interview test things for an interview on Monday morning. I almost rang the agency up and told them to stuff the interview - what a load of pretentious baloney!

We're off to the Walsall Beer Festival tonight and will endeavour to check in at some point tomorrow, quite probably a bit bleary eyed!

Hi all, thank goodness that week's over! Crazy!

CLP, what a brilliant thing to do, keeping it quiet for Jonny's kids! I hope you have a great time! Don't get sick on the rides, and remember the height restrictions for Noah!!!!

Anyway, to catch up a bit, I meant to say more last night, but dozed off, like you do, so got woken up by Mr JG, and just shut the lid on this... bad JG no full shut down!

Billie, thank you for sharing, and as others have said it's lovely that you have got a warm family around you now! I'm one of the lucky one's to have a good relationship with my Mum, and I cherish every moment when I can get to see her! My relationship with my Dad (they split up when I was 6), is complicated, and not for here!

Deev, good luck with the interview, persevere with it, it might be worth it in the end, and I hope you and Nic enjoy your evening! My advice is to keep him off the cider;)

Glad to see you still popping in Marjie, it will become addictive!

Hi Tiggs, hope you are OK?

Rips, enjoy Mamma Mia, I must admit I didn't get the film, but enjoyed it for it's karaoke effect, much to Mr JG's disgust, and I think Finlay put his paws over his ears!

Goldie, I think I'm doing the same, Mr JG has a nasty horrid shift this weekend, but judging by the amount of water sitting on my lawn, I'm not going to be doing much out there!

Annie if I don't see you on here later, have a loverly birthday tomorrow, and don't eat all the choccies in one go, and enjoy your other pressies!

Bingo, good luck with the new lady, and Legoland sounds great, one step at a time!!

CSN, any news, hope things are going well? xx

Carl, nice to see you pop in, have a good weekend!

MC, you've sent more of that wet stuff again?

I didn't hear the rest of what she said as I collapsed, laughing

Unusual stock that shop is selling!!!

margi, have to say you made me lol(that's laugh out loud) with your lovely long post.

JG, hope you have a nice weekend, could be one for curling up indoors

    Evening everyone

Just got home, been on nanny duties, last few days looking after grandchildren.
Hospital have decided, now they have younger daughters condition under control to let her go home at the moment, she is over the moon.
Older daughter is now being monitored by doctor every other day.
Her little boy is poorly at the moment with a bad cold and ear infection, doctor put him on antibiotics yesterday.
Both girls been told to rest.
Think we are now in the calm before the storm.

Chris, I am sure both families will have a great time in Paris, especially Jonny's little boy! Have been to Disney World in Florida years ago, had a fantastic time!

I think I must have just missed mine ...

MTF, don't worry, we cope, although he should've been home at 8pm, and then called out...

Unfortunately Fridays and Saturdays are mad busy, so he ends up doing routine work later in the evening than he should be! Then you get the pub crowd smelling gas in random places on the street!

These Dorothy's are a bit soft...My 13 y/o niece handles pressure better than them!

    Hello Everybody Peeps,

Sounds like a fabby weekend in store for CLP and JSS. I wonder if Johnny's wee boy will sleep tonight. Now we know why CLP was sooooo excited, why he couldn't tell us and why he couldn't sleep. He's a monkey teasing us like that.

Barmy - your story of the Mitchell bros made me LOL.

ChezNic - I hope you're having a grand time at the beer festival. Good luck with the job interviews. Btw Nic, that obviously wasn't the right job for you, would you really want to work with someone like that anyway? The right job will be out there for you and as you say it'll come along when you least expect it. Good luck anyway.

CSN - glad your daughter's well enough to be home but I can imagine you'll be pleased when both have been delivered safely. Thinking about you and yours.

MTV - don't know if you'll read this or not but I have had depression in the past and the only thing that helped me was acupuncture. It is quite expensive but I haven't taken any medication for at least 11 years and I haven't had any treatment for 3 years now. The acupuncturist can also advise on diet / vitamin supplements which help mental health issues. My worst time is January but each year it seems to get easier, thankfully. Also, when I was first diagnosed I had a NHS counsellor which was a free service. However, I didn't find talking about it helped. You need to know that although there's no easy fix you can get better, it's hard work but you have to hang on in there. All the best anyway - I hope you find something soon that helps you.

Bingo - you're nutty as a fruit cake mate but you make me chuckle.

Clodagh, likewise - you are so entertaining. Hope you have a fab 3 weeks in Dublin.

UC - good to know you're still around - I've missed your amusing posts.

MTF - happy blogday. sounds like a plan putting the clocks forward today but I'd get confused and wouldn't be able to get to where I'm supposed to be on time.

Glasgow peeps - hope you're having a ball.

Marjie - you're a hoot - you're long blog made me LOL, welcome to the blog anyway and you're doing really well for a computing novice.

JG - I hope your weekend makes up for your rotten week.

My EGB is off to do his Duke of Edinburgh bronze practice this weekend. He's soooo excited then he's off skiing for a week next Friday, again he's sooo excited. So it's just me and the YGB this weekend. We have loads to do so won't weary but will still miss EGB.
