Picture the scene....

Chris Evans | 15:18 UK time, Tuesday, 4 August 2009

... actually there's no need to - I have the pictures.

Here's my life every day from six a.m. for the last few weeks...

natedit420.jpg

That is my editor Natalie surrounded by the final draft of my book. I normally sit in the vacant chair. The refreshments on the tray are the obligatory unhealthy stuff that you somehow justify when you immerse yourself in such thing.

And this is Noah's world more recently...

noah40809.jpg

He has this new baby super toy which keeps him amused for hours. When he gets bored he just moves on to the next toy and then by the time he gets back to the beginning he's forgotten he got bored with that one and starts all over again.

Er, now who would I rather be ?

You have to indulge in a bit of naughtiness occasionally, but I much prefer Noahs play station to yours.

Hi everyone have been busy so haven;t caught up with the blog lately, I've had my eldest son out here visiting so it's been lots of shopping and much bending of the credit card - but he's worth it!

I had a great time at the polo when I was at home, caught up with my good friend Mel (Gwen in Gavin and Stacey) and had a good laugh, picture on fb.

    Have a good one all

What's with the loo roll Chris? Are you reducing poor Natalie to tears? Give the girl a break!

If you only knew how excited we all are about this book. Will you be doing the promo rounds on the telly - Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, This Morning, Loose Women (OK, maybe not that one!).

    Lots of love,

    xx

  • Comment number 7.

Nice One Mr Evans! Cant wait for the book, I am sure Mr Wright may even invite you on to do your Promo thing.

I knew it, I said it, still got the knack of posting just before the NEW BLOG.

Am going to repost what I've just put on the previous one, but in reply to Chris - defo give me the dangly leg seat with all the toys, and preferably not at 6 in the morning!

    Hello.

    I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

But not for long - just catching breath at home before commencing the northern lap of our Post-Wedding-Progress and then orf to sunny, yes - sunny!!!! - Spain on Wed - Viva Espagna!

Was thinking of renaming myself "Tudorwoman", but it doesn't sound like me. I haven't even decided what to do about my real name, although everyone seems to be assuming I am now called Mrs "Boleynman's Name".

Day was FAB, everthing we had dreamed about and more, definitely helped by the fantastic weather. A mate was filming it, and loads of it looks like a scene from 4 weddings/Vicar of Dibley - very Richard Curtis.

A few little thing went wrong but they were quite funny - will tell yer later. Promise I'll try to get some photos onto the World Wide Webster one way or another - might even include the vid of our first dance - cha cha cha hey.

Hope you are all tickety boo, don't think I'll manage to catch up, and that all is well in Blogland.

I guess Chris will have blogged while I've been writing, in time honoured tradition. Hiya Chris!

How about you hold a special promo do for blogland peeps.....you name the place and we can descend all glammed up for an after party to end all after parties. Deev - how bout you co-ordinate as event manager!?

  • Comment number 19.

Boylngirl - i have the same name change issue - I'm guessing for all intents and purposes it will be changed coz it makes life easier but I might keep things like my own back account in my name so I don't forget who I am - does that make sense?

  • Comment number 20.

    Hi Baggie,

Yes it's tricky, I really wish I'd kept my maiden name 1st time around, then it wouldn't be an issue. But I've had this name nearly 17 years now, it's who I am. I think I'll stay Mrs "Boleyn" at school etc, but not mind at all being referred to as Mr and Mrs "Tudor" (not really those names of course). But then life confuses me at times with one name, so don't know how I'll manage with two!

There's always the double barrel option, but wouldn't we all have to do it or else we'd be "Mr Tudor and his wife Mrs Boleyn-Tudor with the Misses Boleyn".

    Which is ridiculous.

Ah, tis so much easier to be a man in this situation.

    Howz it going anyway Baggles?

    A x

    Hi Darce, Penny, Tango, everyone.

Have a great evening all, whatever you are upto.

    Steffi xx

  • Comment number 23.

Boleyn - for what it's worth, I think it would be a lot simpler to change your name, lock stock and barrel, otherwise it sounds as if it could get a bit complicated!! You are so right about the man situation tho'!

Cheers Bingers meladdo - the book sound fab, well done for making a start. I'm one of those people who loves the idea of writing a book, but it all boils down to being too blooooming lazy and having the attention span and the self-discipline of a flea (without the ability to jump many times my height, sadly.)

Can't wait to hear about the gorillas and the naked dutchmen!

    Hi folks

I've been a bit remiss also, but felt awful last night, tried to make tea/dinner/supper, put it on hold, then eventually tried to eat it, and couldn't...I'll spare you the details!

Mr JG came back in at 9.15 asking if I was Ok, and got a resounding "Noooo!",so spent the rest of the evening tucked up on the sofa watching drivel! Apart from Uni Challenge! Wey hey, I managed to answer at least 10 questions, a first for me!! And he wasn't here to witness it, dammit!!

Have a serious backlog of work at the moment, due to the "swine flu" episode, and desperately trying to keep up!!

Also have my boss nagging me to take another exam, that I really don't want to take, but it's like, the last one I need...until they change it again that is, so expect a lot of stress from Jan to April 2010! Don't even want to think about it!

Right, mad dog making strange noises, methinks he is chewing off his dew claws again....

Hope everyone is OK, Boleyn, glad you had a great day, must get an intro from Beez! Have a good time in Spain!

Gawdon bennett, there was some iffy hair about in the 80s .... most of it on my bonce!! Ha!

Think it might just be a Dexter catch up night - by the time we get to the end of season 3, they will be airing season 4 !!

JG - sorry to hear you're not feeling 100% and as for the stress in Jan 2010 - we'll all be here to act as your shock-absorbers, so fear not! What's the exam in?

And Boleyn - glad the wedding went well - can't wait to see the pix!!

Bolyngirl - although I am 100% sure I want to marry Mr bp - I'm not sure about becomming the little wife and by accepting his name lock stock and barrel will I disapear? Aslo my name is quite rare and his is common which means I will lose my uniqueness

I guess we will see how that one plays out but any little ones we have will get his name - inc the cats after the big day.

All plans I think are going well but I'm waiting for the next disater

    Super bp x

PS - Bingo nice to have you back - I've got a couple of story ideas knocking about - inc a 20k word one I wrote at uni but needs a complete rewrite before I show anyone - anyone know how long a book needs to be?

  • Comment number 45.

SBP, I hated my maiden name, so was happy to change it! When I married Mr JG, I kept my "second" name for some things, actually some things still are, but it's a pain in the backside!

Have to keep sending in marriage certs years after, so am desperately trying to amend everything even after 8 years, so go for all at once, and be done with it!

I also have an issue that I've changed my first name unofficially too!

    JG x

PS Crumpy, hear what you're saying, and am trying to keep calm!

PPS Deev, It's in "everything" to do with Financial Services, and as I only deal with certain aspects, it'll be really tough!

  • Comment number 46.

    Yeah, Mr JG home! Finally!

    BBL!

  • Comment number 47.

JG - you sure were not sharing a man - whenever Mr bo goes to work your mr JG shows up :-)

  • Comment number 48.

    Baggsy / JG - now there's a thought ........ !!!

I too hated my maiden name - it lead to all sorts of taunts in the playground and was not helped by my Goth Goddess status in my mid-late teens. BUT when Mr Deev popped the question, it was a case of the lesser of two evils as my married surname is the same as the Headmistress at my secondary school - and she was vile with a capital V.

So, did I want to be my maiden name or the wagon witch headmistress????

    Decisions, decisions!

Oh and at work today they were talking about changing your driving licence from the old style pink one to a new funky ID card type. Apparently you have to pay for it unless (a) you move or (b) you get divorced.

    That's that one sorted then ...... !!

    Ha!

Good call! I remembererer getting ripped off by the Passport Office when we got hitched. I never had a passport and when we got engaged, Mr Deevs mum lived in France. So, in order that she could check me out and I could meet the future M-i-L I got a passport in my maiden name in 1995 and off we toodled au Francais. Then, we got hitched in 1996 and I had to pay AGAIN to change it to my married name - same photo and everyfin!!!

As I said earlier - being confused all my life with different names from infant school onwards - just decide on one and stick to it. Traumatic or what - first register and I didn't answer cos that was not my name!!!!

Saying that - private horrible (what I call hospital) visits every 6 months - my first name (wot I don't use) is used. Cheek - at my age and the amount of dosh paid over the years - shouldn't it be Mrs Beez??? No respect these days for age! Humph!!
