Little Did He Know by Natasha Evans (Chris was made to go out of the room whilst I wrote this)

Chris Evans | 09:52 UK time, Friday, 20 February 2009

It took me a while, but I knew I could find it somewhere...

...the very first time Chris mentioned me on his blog.

It was not, in fact, 'the girl on the sofa' but in a blog he posted way back in August 2006, entitled 'She said she wanted a snog but I knew she wanted a house, a car and a whole host of things'. That was me.

That was the day after the night before, the first time we met, shared a drink or two, talked, laughed, but that was that. Chris goes on to say 'I was in the corner, the sails half way down yet not sure if this was truly the place to drop anchor, in the end I got caught and asked someone to marry me.' If I'm not mistaken, that was me again!

See, we've all been in it together from the start.

And now look at us.

Chris and I often look back and laugh at how we ended up here, once a single woman enjoying the single life with only a care for myself and almost 3 years later I have everything I've always wanted, an incredible husband who I could not live without, a new baby who makes life worth living and of course, loyal Beth, the best dog in the world. I don't know want to sound like I'm gloating but I really do feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Yesterday was our biggest day yet. Noah and I left the comfort of our four walls and ventured out to London for a cuddle with some friends and his first trip to Radio 2.

Noah Evans

It must have been all the excitement because the ickle pickle was up most of the night and as a result is now dead to the world. He's lying next to me whilst his daddy has nipped off to grab a few moments with his beloved cars. He calls this special time "tinkering." Boys.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for all your kind, kind words, advice, gifts, cards, emails etc. We have read every single one and we are both truly touched with all the support. Thank you.

Doggy is happy. Baby is happy. Hubby is happy which all makes mummy happy.

Lots of love, Mrs CLP. x

Welcome to the blog Tash. We bloggers arent a bad bunch, honestly!

May I offer my sincere congratulations to you on the birth of baby Noah.
A job well done I think!

As a relatively "new" grandfather I hope that he gives you as much pleasure as we are getting from baby Ava Grace.
Having gone through what you are now experiencing, albeit years ago, your addition and the associated stories bring back many memories and the joy in Chris' broadcasts shines through

Best wishes and thank you for letting us share your happiness

    Hi Mrs CLP

Great to hear from you! Thank you for your blog.

Although I've been a regular reader, I have never contributed. I have been trying to get registered to post a comment for a couple of weeks. It has taken the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ ages to confirm my details!

The sole purpose of this mission has been to say congratulations to you, once your new arrival came. I'm over a week late, so belated good wishes, and welcome to Noah. He is just so gorgeous!

I think that Mr CLP should let you have the first choice of record on 'All Request Friday'.

    Hi Tash

It's your first blog today and mine too!! I've been reading all about your gorgeous baby Noah with my daughter who is 11. We were both waiting with great excitement to hear that Noah had arrived safely and when Chris played "Wonderful World" as his first track as a new Daddy we were thrilled as this is Olivia's song (she had it played at her Naming Ceremony!).
It's so wonderful that you're sharing this special time with us and it's lovely to have some good news amidst all the doom and gloom! We wish you all lots of fun and wonderful moments together. You have a wonderful husband and a gorgeous son- don't feel bad about enjoying them both!

And your words have made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (mind you, that could be the newly acquired head cold plus the two Lemsips I've had today - other cold remedies are available)!

You don't sound at all like you're gloating. On the contrary - it's lovely to hear that you have what you've always wanted. Some people can search their whole lives and never get so much as a whiff, so good on you - as Hazel says, you only get what you deserve in life.

Hi Natasha and hi to all bloggers. I haven't been on for well over a year as I changed jobs and they're a bit strict about this sort of thing but I'm a persistant lurker.

I just felt like I had to come back on board and say my bit. The thing about Chris is that he finishes the day off nicely. He's so positive always puts a smile on my face and makes me feel like I'm part of this big listerners family.

It's been especially wonderful to have felt involved with your family and being kept up to date with beautiful Noah. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have been in "OMG i'm going to be a Mum panic mode" but reading Chris' blog is making me so excited to meet my baby and get on with parenthood. You are so lucky to be gaining an insight into the mind of of your hubby. So lucky that can express his thoughts so eloquently.

Your family is truly blessed and I am truly hormonal and should stop this now before I cry.

No need for thanks, Chris and you have both touched our hearts and minds and so our good wishes, advice etc.. come easily to hand.

Thank you for sharing and taking the time to write the blog and share another picture of Noah too - you must be shattered after your trip out yesterday, and another sleepless night.

...and welcome aboard (to continue the original ship related analogy). Also hello to you Chris, who I am sure on this day more than any other, will be lurking.

It is fantastic to hear from you Natasha - from what you say, it is clear that you are each other's raison d'être....and that's pretty much bang on the button of the way it should be. Congratulations on bringing the gorgeous Noah into the world.

I've been reading Chris' blogs with even more interest of late as my own lovely lady has recently had her (our?) first scan.....and I'm sure you'll agree what a completely gobsmacking moment it is to see something so small fervently bopping and jumping around in its own growing space. Your and Chris' experiences mean SO much more to me personally now I've realised we're only 6 months behind you. Gulp!

Keep the top tips coming!....I (if not my lady) will certainly need them!

Lovely to hear from you Natasha and blimmin' well done on catching Chris' Anchor.....and making him glad he dropped it.

hazel_love thanks for that - ok here's my second question - why Lambie Pie? I have started reading Chris's blog for, well since Noah was born. I am now hooked, although I never used to read the comments, until I left my 1st one for Tash last night. So, how do you keep up with all the comments and stuff?

I started at the beginning, although this website isn't user friendly to peeps who want to read the whole story from the beginning (Chris...book?!) ....but maybe I've missed the Chris Lambie Pie blog post?! Argh...and I have a full time job...keeping up with this blog is a full time job too!

...and Christophe, if you're out there...what fabulous choices you're getting for the ARF!!! You should put them all on an album - to commemorate the birth of Noah - and donate the proceeds to CHASE...

    Just a thought.

    AS66, Dusty, sublime!

...and lostAlibaba #60...he gets you like that sometimes, doesn't he!

I'd buy it...even though you've never played one of mine

I think he's just always been Christophe Lambie Pie...way, way before the advent of blog land...I'm sure there is a reason...but I know not wot...

...and with regard to keeping up...you just do! Woe betide you get far too busy at work or go on holiday...catching up is a nightmare...and then you miss out on some cracking stuff...but it's the chance you have to take!

I'll be mia on Monday and Tuesday...unpacking in the new Sett mainly! Then on Weds I'm in about a gazillion meetings...so that's three days down.

just have to try not to feel too bereft

    Hi Tash

Great to here from you at last and congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby boy, Noah. Well done also on getting your bundle of joy out on his first journey with mum. I have a 4 month old baby girl and know how difficult it is to get everything packed up and into the car - trust me it gets easier. It is amazing how quickly babies go to sleep when they get into the car. They just love the motion..

Now I know you are breast feeding right now, but my advise to you is to get away in the next few months for a break maybe for an overnight stay somewhere - leaving baby Noah in the safe hands of his daddy. Just before Christmas my husband surprised me with a weekend trip to USA to see my sister (without our baby Holly). I was delighted for the break but terrified of leaving her at the same time. Turns out my husband and baby had the best time ever as he got to spend 24/7 on his own with her. He was also so understanding of how hard a job it is to looking after a baby all day on your own. When I got home he was an expert in bathing, feeding and clothing her. So Chris, if you are reading this, maybe you could treat Tash to an overnight stay in a luxury spa as it definitely recharges the batteries! She will come home well slept, refreshed and hungry for love....

I am so delighted for your happiness and why shouldn't you gloat ... Take care.

#68 1uby - best thing is that it doesn't matter if you can't keep up cos the blog just meanders every day anyway, so if you miss a few days you just join in again when you can!!

I think a lot of us worked full time when we first joined - now we blog full time and just work when someone's watching ha ha!!

so lovely to hear from you tash-and well done on the arrival of darling noah-he's my adopted grandson you know! i have 2 of the most wonderful son's you could ask for-ages 30 and 26 and even at their tender ages i still worry about them so youve still years of worry ahead of you ha! ha! but it's all worth it. i also have a darling daughter who is 23, married and has given her dad and me 2 sweetheart grandsons-who i love more than life itself!! you and chris may be blessed with a daughter one day but when it comes to letting them go-boy is it hard-boys will always love their mums but the love girls have for their daddys will go on forever-even when they are married and living away from the family.love and kisses to noah xxxx

congratulations to you all - just seen pic of Noah in his snow suit, my gorgeous boy Paddy had the same one - I loved it so much and am still squeezing him into his big boys version now he is 20 moths old, the joke in our house is he will still be wearing hats with ears when he is 16 and leaving school cos mummy thinks he can still get away with it because he is so cute. Make the most of every single day - we waited 10 years for our angel and I don't let a day pass without counting our blessings and not wishing any stage away. I panicked as he was growing up but I have to tell you it gets better and better. Enough from me, my first time on any blog and and could ramble on for ever!!

Along with all the other bloggers i would like to welcome you too.
Weird isn't it how men always think it is them doing all the running and making all the decisions/commitments? If it wasn't for the womenfolk putting the ideas into their heads in the first place! Well Tash you know the rest and i am sure it is a familiar story to all the femail bloggers?

Take extra care of yourself and best wishes to all 3 of you xx

    Afternoon all,

What a lovely way to end another ridiculous week, with words from the Organ Grinder....Umm, just re-read that, I'm gonna leave it in, but will point out that it is an innocent remark with no side or offence meant.

    Ooops!

Anyway, congratulations Tash, you must still be on cloud nine and with the boys you have surrounding you, you should be!

Good luck you all for the future...Enjoy!

Deev- You can get into the Ivy with much less notice if you go early evening before the theatre crowd turn up.
That's where I proposed to the CMM (as mentioned on Aled's show this week).

I am free most evenings in March, if that helps!

I also thought that JV had been reading your facecloth page today...Either that or it's a charm offensive in response to what gets written on here.

    Have a good weekend!

    Champagne for everybody!!!

1ubytuesday: just thought I would say to you, keeping up with the blog requires superb mental and physical strength, but it's worth it!

My advice is that you get onto the blog first thing in the morning, check what you can (it may not be possible to read everything, but you will be amazed at how accomplished you will become at this!). And then you just hit the Refresh button at regular intervals.

The bloggers are very good - someone will always let you know when Chris (or Tash!) have written a new blog!

In all, it only uses up 7 or 8 hours out of your day - sweet!
