MISSION STATEMENT NOT SO IMPOSSIBLE.

Chris Evans | 15:19 UK time, Tuesday, 27 November 2007

I've been mulling on mine and here's how it is thus far...

First off, I do think the old mission statement is highly useful.

To write down a statement of intent for every day, month or year for different aspects of one's life could save a person a load of time and trouble and stress and heartbreak. If you get the original intention accurate then it will help reduce decision making massively. You simply have to ask yourself will the following action help me get any closer to achieving my mission statement, if not then why am i doing it.

One can make different mission statements for different aspects of one's life....

In a way I suppose that's what New Year's resolutions are.

I also have mantras that help me. Not chanting mantras just places and things every day that remind me of what track it is I want to be on.

When I sit down in the boy's (smelly) loo at home, there is a picture hung on the wall staring right back at me of the whole audience of Don't Forget your Toothbrush in Disneyland Paris. This was after a show where the prize was for the whole audience to win a trip to the French theme park.

It was a titanic thing to pull off on live television but we really did it and the audience all set off for the channel straight after the show in six coaches that we'd hid around the back of the studio.

Every time I look at this image I say the phrase... MAKE EXTRAORDINARY THINGS HAPPEN.

When we decidied to do that idea, there was no fear, there was no why - there was only why not !

Also in the smelly loo are letters from a few people I really admire who've encouraged me over the years, there's also a radio - radio has made a lot of things in my life possible, oh and there's another picture too but that's er well - another picture.

I know so many of my friends who never stop working but i'm sure they have no idea what it is they're trying to achieve and how it all effects the end game whatever that may be.

Busy fools, headless chickens, oh don't worry i've been there but it's much better this way.

2 - deal with it - things never disapeared, either in life or emotionaly and everything needs to be dealt with at some point so why out it off!

When the going get tough this is what gets me though!

It's why I love New Year - just the perfect time through from the solstice into the new year to snuggle down and reflect. Review and decide where things have gone and where they're going. Time to set a few parameters for the coming year.

Must say I am REALLY looking forward to the process this year because the past twelve months have been one 'hold-tight-for-a-fast-ride' kind of trip, but wow how things have changed too.

Am off now to spend the next 12 days in my lovely (TINY) new 'ickle flat and catch up with maties. OHHHH so excited.

Mantras, missions, vision, reflection ALL so very important....

Good luck guys and see how you get on...

Now make something else extraordinary happen and bring back TFI !!!

I will remain on my mission ( that's a statement ) until you do.

You know we all want it and I have sneaky feeling you do too - so go on , Why not ??

Too many people think that the cheapest is the best but this usually not true.
In my opinion you can not pay to much for what you want, however if you don't pay enough you are normally open to get the wrong product or service.

We all have to make money.

God how serious do I sound.

Chris Evans, the wizard of "Make things happen."

Great idea for a TV show....
But also a great positive attitude to live one's life.

Could the smelly Loo benefit from one of those air freshners that stick on the wall. You know the one they advertise with a chinese kid sat on the loo, with a english looking mother.

....how about it being released on DVD or repeated on TV so it can be relived and loved again?

Genius groundbreaking tv, since (poorly) copied by others. I honestly used to flash my living room lights, awed at Jools' piano skills, will never forget Barry White on there either, and of course the tension in the lead up to the Paris trip....superb.

Just for the record, I have a photo of me and my dad (which is both of our favourites) in our boys - smelly - loo. I was only about 2-3 and I love it.

Go on CLP, bring out the DVD of DFYT, it'll make a lot of peoples christmas's.

    Off to light my lemon

So. My mantra for the day.

This, too, will pass. All is well. After all. I might look scaldy today but come the weekend when I've scrubbed and buffed meself up and added a bit of wattle&daub to the old mush before launchin' the onslaught at the gorgeous Holly's hen party, I'll be a bloody BABE.

Right. Best be off. It'll take a bit of time learnin' to balance this beach ball on me nose, just in case.

PS Saw my first Santa's sleigh last night. Well I thought it was until it landed and I realised that it was a red van that had been driving too fast, didn't see the roundabout, and took off after hitting it! 20-30 feet in the air he flew!!! That van won't fly no more, it's wheels go in all directions, but round!
