PS Kill 'em all
comic relief sounds good, I`m up for that.
bout time too!!
It was autumn, and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new
Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a new Indian
Chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets, and
When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the weather was going to
be. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his tribe that the
winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village
should collect wood to be prepared. But also being a practical leader, after
several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National
Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?"
"It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed," the
meteorologist at the weather service responded.
So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood
in order to be prepared. A week later he called the National Weather Service
again. "Is it going to be a very cold winter?"
"Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's going to be
a very cold winter."
The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every
scrap of wood they could find. Two weeks later he called the National
Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to
be very cold?"
"Absolutely," the man replied. "It's going to be one of the coldest winters
ever."
"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked.
The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting wood like crazy!"
really, really first?
Sounds like you were having fun, anyway!
Rad 2 here we come...
Good weekend to all

Can't believe nobody has posted anything yet - is everybody having trouble getting on?
Looking forward to Red Nose day, in spite of the fact that, last night, I volunteered to serve behind the bar in my local pub for the evening. It seemed like a good idea at the time. But, as I have never been on that side of a bar in my life, and mental arithmetic is not one of my strong points, I fear it may be my first and last time.
Here's hoping that after one (or two) drinks, I may not care. As I obviously didn't when I volunteered.
Have a good weekend all,
Peni
Hi Chris,
It's good to see that you are still dedicating time to Comic Relief. With your birthday you were born to do it! It must be good for the team having someone so focused and up-beat on board. (Ego massage over now!) xx
There's a road near to where I live called Ha-Ha Road. I've always thought there should be something comic-reliefy going on there. It's so appropriately named. There's a huge expanse of common land alongside it that the fair and circus and other events take place on. I'd like to see womens mud wrestling set up there. It is one of the funniest things I've ever done and I hear men rather enjoy watching too! It's also inexpensive so suits all. As a participant you only need a swimsuit and goggles. Spectators buy squeezy bottles of liquid mud to squirt all over the contestants so everyone can join in. I was mud wrestling contestant in Miami years ago and my skin looked glorious fo weeks afterwards!
I hope that you have a restful weekend to make up for last weekend.
Hugs and moonbeams, (it's a full moon tomorrow)
Debs xx
Tried calling the show, my first time ever to a radio show, where to go tonight Chris - I am out of touch and perhaps too old but if I had a plane I would fly to Vale do Lobo and go to Alambique for a tasty meal in relaxed surroundings. Did you enjoy your meal at Christmas - I was there with all my family? I was in Vale do lobo again last week and it was so lovely. Love the show, even though when I heard you were taking over I thought 'who can replace Jonhy? but I really enjoy it - keep it up.
Kind regards
Mary Linda Knight

Hi
I think I`m lost...
What a wonderfull week, hope everyone has a super good weekend full of laughter and merryment. xx p.s why do people address things CLP?
Evening
Great Joke Parker liked that one.
Does money make the world go around? Or is it comedy that feeds the soul.
PS Richard R where are you lost? is your Sat Nav not working?
Chris.. what a lovely life playing with the luvvies, I am envious but have my daughter Jessica to keep me busy and all my dreams of being on stage have been reduced to at home preformances, but how lucky am I !!!
I keep trying to get through - but I keep failing....and not a lot of people know that
CLP,
Excellent show this evening - caught most of it in between sorting kids and showering for my night out - even had my daughter asking me to turn it down, 'cos she couldn't hear her music!! RESULT!!!
So, tonight - I was the driver. Bummer, when I was the one celebrating! Had to stop at 24hr supermarket for celebratory things to have on my own at home - BUT bought Madonna Immaculate Collection for a little over 拢5 -bargain (my ex took the last one...) so listening to that, drinking vino and eating BAD food at present. Do you know - at one time, I would feel depressed, but right now, I'm v happy - doing what I want to do, when I want to do it (my goodness, roll on the purple wearing days!!!).
Have got my request planned for ARF next week - I really hope you play it matey, 'cos boyfriend (yes, b/f, not Date!!!) is going away the following day for 3 weeks :-(
ARM/T/W/T wouldn't work Sweetie - it's the pure excitement of All Request day/last day at work/mufftie that make it as FAB as it is.
I hear you're having a planned spontaneous weekend - well I have those too!
I hope you and the Bloggers/Schloggers have brilliant weekends and I'll catch up with y'all on Monday.
S xx.
I just can't get through.
I would if I could....but....I can't.
Helloooooooooooooo is there anybody out there!!???XXXAshy
Congrats Nev.
Same time next week then huh?
MW, a!
Gosh, comic relief again. I have permission for us to have a 'mufti' day in my ultra-conservative office, but what theme? If we are too outrageous I'll be in big trubs. Probably end just dress down - but at least its in a really good cause.
Looks like a good show though, we'll dip in & out through the evening and rely on the kids to shout when the best bits are on.
Anyone up for a comic releif dinner party?
You pay... I cook!
And how can it already be the last in the series of TOP GEAR? what on earth will I do with my Sunday evenings now? .... suggestions?
Good morning, Christophe!
I hope you've had a great weekend! It sounds like you are busy, busy, busy just now! Don't be doing too much, mind! A busy lad needs rest and recreation as well!
I thought the Last Last Vicar of Dibley was the last Vicar of Dibley!? Sounds like it should be a great night.
Great show on Friday, as usual. Fair helped us speed up the A86 from Oban to Aviemore. I don't know if you have holiday plans yet, but I would highly recommend the MacDonald Aviemore Highland Resort! It's private, romantic, great dining, has fantastic views of the Cairngorms, attentive, friendly staff, and a choice of staying in the gorgeous Hghlands Hotel or in one of the Highland Lodges that nestle amonsgt the Scots pines. There's even a golf course in Aviemore itself!
Now I'm wishing I was getting commission!
Well, I'm off to see what the day throws at me ... after only an hour's worth of sleep all night .... and two 2 year olds to look after today!
Have a great day!

鈥淟ove is what makes you smile when you're tired.鈥
鈥淚t's possible to forget how alive we really are. We can become dry and tired, just existing, instead of really living. We need to remind ourselves of the juice of life, and make that a habit. Find those places inside that jump for joy, and do things鈥
Hello all
Hope you all had a good weekend. I've been busy tending to Dolores, my pregnant spouse, who is currently 33 weeks and counting. She can now only waddle around slowly, which means I'm having to do most of the housework. Do I shirk this responsibility? Oh no no no no.
Having recently managed to avoid the possibility of a criminal record through the actions of my former receptionist, Denise, I am free to continue with my life's work. But I do feel like I should tell Denise's story, as it is indeed remarkable. My marketing manager, the opportunistic Dr Mark Booth, has suggested that I serialise Denise's adventures in return for contributions to his charitable venture, which is raising money for safe water sources in East Africa.

Any chance of a Monday sweep?

Good morning fellow bloggers and blogettes!
I don鈥檛 think I鈥檝e ever seen the blog so quiet! Are we getting too used to a daily helping of intelligent, inspiration from the blogmeister!? CLP is definitely allowed to have days where he has nothing much to say 鈥 it doesn鈥檛 mean we can鈥檛 keep the pace!
Parker - you always make me smile!
Peni - which pub 鈥 my arithmetic is just as bad so I won鈥檛 know if you over or under charge me!
The Debster - you don鈥檛 look like the mud wrestling type!! Do you have photos?! Did you watch the lunar eclipse? We had a fantastic view over the Cairngorms!
Josie - CLP, I think, is Christophe LambiePie!
Sammie - you were up late! And boyfriend! Result! I spoke to the delectable Nic on Friday, but didn鈥檛 make the final cut on Friday鈥檚 ARF! Good luck with yours!
Lyndyloo - what you cooking?!
So lyndyloo, d'you reckon they were gonna make more, but due to the Hamster's accident, they didn't have time? I thought they usually made 12 in a series?
I saw in the TV guide 6/6 which heralded the end for me, and due to being asleep (but not in a good way...) I missed the last 15-20mins anyway. Mind you, I spec after the rocket thing, and especially after those crazy stretch cars, they'd probably run out of money!
Billie was good though, but she seemed to be really nervous poor love! Even more so once JC pointed out that her jumper was see-through!
Susan, glad you had a lovely anniversary, and in such awe inspiring surroundings too! The only thing putting me off is the nearly eleven hour drive...
Josie - Christophe Lambie Pie

Any chance of a Monday sweep?

I'm in for a Monday sweep, if Mariella and her spreadsheet can cope?!
I'm going for 13.55 ... that's 1.55pm in plain speak!
Hazel love - it really would be easier for you to fly to Inverness then it's a 40 minute drive south of the airport!
J McC - will pop over later! Charis and her wee buddy are flooding the bathroom!
Hi Sammie
So you are going with Sammie then. I think I checked on Friday, but the comment didn't go through...
Are you still being known as Sammie then, and have decided not to go with Raquelle or Kaleesha?
Please advise soonest.
...and what letter are you up to now? Is it K or J, or is Mr Flutterby (Samantha Flutterby - sounds like someone in the local theatricals...) still your No.1*
Greetings!
Not that I am remotely near where Lindyloo lives and, therefore, not really up for a Comic Relief dinner, it begs the question "can she cook?" or is it an excuse to raise funds from people begging her not to? No offence meant but my sister tried this reverse dinner party fund raising ploy once and raised hundreds of pounds. Her fame as a non-chef was widespread locally!!
TTFN
Monday greetings folks!
If MW,a is getting the brushes out could I have
12.48 for my sweep bid please?
Isn't it draughty today or is just where - and possibly the way - I'm sat.
Bye for now.

A SLIGHT MISUNDERSTANDING
A college senior takes his new girlfriend to a football game. The young couple found seats in the crowded stadium and were watching the action. A substitute was put into the game, and as he was running onto the field to take his position, the boy said to his girlfriend, "Take a good look at that fellow. I expect him to be our best man next year."
His girlfriend snuggled closer and said to the surprised young man, "That's the strangest way I ever heard of for a fellow to propose to a girl. Regardless of how you said it, I accept!"
THE WRITE JOB
There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer. When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"
He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages.
(methinks he works for the Blog Police too!)
Susan S - glad you had a great weekend away!
HL - Did consider Chardonnay Fallangee, but settled for Sammie Cee, rather than Gee.....
Re: b/f (so exciting!!) K is flutterby man... Have found myself to be an incredible coward where A is concerned... Have to remedy the situation soon - he wants to take me to Paris, so clearly can't allow things to continue... Flutterby man has been away all weekend and am seeing him tonight, so very excited! Not a good way to be on first day back at work after a week off sick! Can't concentrate!
BTW - Samantha Flutterby sounds like a Porn name!!! Laughed at that one - Oh yes I did!!!
MW, a - please may I have 14.39????
Manic Monday...
