Your comments are insightful and enirely truthful, so I requested that instead of reading out the entire 'The Club Is Alive' thread, just read kutox comments, they seem to consolidate the feelings of everyone on the forum into three paragraphs!

Well they are amazing because they can all sing and all have an equal part, not just one singing the lot.
Having 2 number 1 singles (3 on sunday), 2 Brit awards, 2 Mobos and a triple platinum selling album. Really explains my point about them being the best boyband we have seen in ages.
And they have a huge fan base because loads of people in the UK know what decent music :D

Thank you for proving my point even further.

They can all sing can they? I guess that's why they need auto-tune to carry them through the whole of The Club Is Alive. And is that also why they haven't sang live ONCE since they entered X Factor? Yet their fans still go hysterical at the mere sight of them.

So, having no.1 singles and selling lots of records makes them good does it? Well, Bob The Builder sold a million singles in the uk, I guess that makes him a musical genius does it? The 2 Brit awards JLS won were both voted for by the public - which they were always going to win because their fans are obsessive and are desperate for them to get to no.1 and win such awards, hence also why anything they release sells by the bucket load because their fans only care about them getting to no.1, not actually about the music.

Sorry to sound like this, but you are pointing out exactly what is wrong with certain 'music fans'. You seem to think musicianship is measured purely by the amount of records someone sells. By that logic, I guess Westlife must be incredible musicians? Lord help us. Whatever happened to music for music's sake? I guess you probably think any music that isn't in the charts is 'bad'. Don't get me wrong I like a lot of what is in the charts, and there are of course many great artists who sell lots of records, but to suggest someone is automatically a good singer or band just because they've got a few hit singles is ridiculous. Don't you know how a lot of the industry works these days? It's pretty obvious.

JLS have a huge fan base because they went on X Factor and picked up an army of schoolgirl fans who fancy them and think they are 'soooo buff' and will therefore buy anything with their name on it because they are desperate for them to do well in the charts. That is obvious to anyone with even half a brain. Don't insult me by saying it's because of their music. Their music is nothing but generic cheesy pop aimed directly at their easily-pleased fans.

Don't know why I'm even bothering to debate with a typical JLS fan - I know what the response will be along the lines of (at the very small chance there even is one). If I had anything better to do with my time I wouldn't bother.

Sorry to sound aggressive - it's nothing against you, but all you are doing is backing up my point.

I doubt you have ever been to a JLS concert, but they sang live then and they were fantastic!

QUESTION TO THE FANS!!!

WHERE do you get the impression that by all these hearts and kisses the lads are going to notice you? They do not acknowledge your individual existence, your more of a group of people who they see as the ones who helped them rise to fame and are there to make money off. THEY WILL NOT MARRY YOU! Your all about 12 anyway. Do you really think JLS would go for you? Not to be harsh but they could have more or less ANYONE they wanted, and by putting 'OMG I LUFF YHOO ASKON HUNEY MWAH' they're not going to think 'OOH an obsessive pre-teen fan, she strikes my fancy!' so yeahhh...
