Fearne & Reggie Get The X-Factor...

Post categories:

...oh sorry, did I not finish?

What that should say is 'Fearne & Reggie Get The X-Factor Winner on this week's Radio 1 Chart Show, and they're bringing the CD of their winning song - a version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' - with them'.

It will either be these people

JLS

Or this person....ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Or this person.

Alex and Eoghan

We'll all find out who it is going to be on Saturday night's X Factor final. And then we will find out what their first 20 hours as champions will have been like, live on Radio 1, between the hours of 4 and 7pm, on Sunday.

Is it too late to put a vote in for Rhydian?

Whoever chose this song, Simon Cowell (?), needs shooting. Even sung by Diana, it's an awful choice for the winner's song.

I quite like this Fraser bloke...

All the same, I'm for getting Rick Astley to Christmas No1!

Why does an X-Factor song ALWAYS get cristmas number 1. Lets get some classics back and have some fun listening to the Pogues etc.

All the same, I think that JLS is not as good as the other two singers. Eoghan is not very strong but he is on the same par as Alex. Oh, and I BEG OF YOU please stop playing that Hero song.

I actually like Hallelujah so, as long as they give it justice, i do not mind.

diana should of won, alexandra is boring. another leona lewis just worse. and dont even get started on the version of hallelujah which will more then likely make xmas number 1 :| its the worst cover of a classic song i think ive ever heard.

I'd just like to say, I was so shocked that Ruth went out of X Factor so early, I don't normally watch the programme, but seen her perform and thought out of them all she deserved to win, just proves you never know what the public are thinking, and it seems a shame the majority of people who kept contestants like Eoghan and JLS in at the last minute, because I thought they we're very weak, particulary Eoghan, maybe this explains why the pop charts seems so full of rubbish these days!

I'm not saying Alexandra Burke isn't worthy of having a hit record, but I find it an increadable shame that it becomes so predictable that after winning something like X Factor that it would be a Christmas number 1.

Part of the excitment is tuning into the chart show not knowing whos really going to be in the top 10 let alone number 1, but the X Factor programme and all the hype is killing all this, its like opening your Christmas presents before Christmas day, and everyone knew what was going to be number 1 the minute we knew who won X Factor, but to me this isn't fair, the programe is giving whoever wins an unfair advantage against other more worthy artists.

I think there should be some kinda law against this from happening in the future, its as if they win the X Factor show and automatically get a record deal, and gauranteed number 1 single, but not just number 1 single, they get the Christmas number 1 single, which to me isn't fair to all the artists who have to come through the system properly and worked hard doing it.

Isn't it time someone realised all this manufaturing is killing music?

Ok you could say all the hype is raising sales, which ok it does for the Christmas week, but this all goes to the single which the X Facor hype has created, and once Christmas is over the bubble bursts big time, whereas it used to be just as interesting to see what artists made the chart for the new year, but now this is one of the most boring periods of the year, and all thank's to the X Factor show.

To make matters worse the winning song brings back from the dead the original, is this how Christmas going to be like in the future, the X factor artist at number 1, and the oriiginal version at number 2? Why don't they go all the way and claim the top 40?

Isn't this taking a very unfair advantage in the music industry? And shouldn't something be done about this?
