Paramore

Look! It's Paramore! Hayley's had a new 'do', the rest of the band are...well no-one really looks at the rest of Paramore anyway, so let's imagine they look amazingly different for a second (or not different at all, it's entirely up to you). Anyway, I bring you exciting news about Paramore's new single, which is being released on February 11th, and comes from their very succesful album called 'Riot!'.

It's a fiesty affair, as you'd expect, which is addressed to a girl who used to go out with a boy that - in the song - Hayley is now seeing herself. It's called 'Misery Business' and...

...ooh....I just had total deja vu. What does that remind me of? It's...it's...oh it'll come back if I don't push it...

Anyway, in the song, Hayley is totally giving it to this girl, who seems to have broken her fella's heart or something. The band have made a video about it, in which Hayley is back at school, and so's the girl (although she looks a bit old, frankly), and she's not very nice, so Hayley's all up in her grill, and they both give each other serious 'tude and stu...

...there it is again! Something about this song reminds me of...something...But what could it be?

*headshake*

Anyway, here's the video...

So the thing with this song is it's like a total victory-dance slam-fest on the nasty girl, yeah? And Hayley has such a downer on her that she even calls her a whore at one poi...

THAT'S IT! This song has been out before! And we got into a massive row about it! And now everyone is pretending it DIDN'T come out before! Even though it got to No.31! Back in June 2007!

Well, I'm certainly not going to stir up that hornet's nest again by reviewing it. Best to just keep quiet and hope the whole thing blows over, eh?

Phew! Close call...

I will admit to not being into Paramore that much, I just can't see the attraction, but frankly this song is barmy. If I was the bloke that this Hayley was claiming ownership over, I would dump her straight away, 'cos she sounds like a right bunny boiler. My brother had a girlfriend like that once and the inevitable fall-out was horrific.

At least with Avril Lavigne and her somewhat similar song we knew that it was a bit of fluffy (though bitchy) throw-away pop. As a result I quite liked it though I'm not a fan of Avril either, but this song belongs on the soundtrack to Fatal Attraction.

Ok, so i read your other "review" on misery buisness as well. All i can say is give Paramore a break. First off they are not emo, not even close. I went to a Paramore gig and Hayley made a joke about the fact that mindless critics are so quick to label them as a 'straight up emo band' without even properly listenting to their music.

Second, all of Paramore are still in their teens. If they can write lyrics like that and produce such great music at such a young age, who are you to be so critical?

Finally, what vendetta do you seem have against Hayley lol In the other review it seemed like you were hating on her for.....well no reason at all! And please people, don't compare Hayley to Avril Lavigne. Hayley is an artist with her own individual style and amazing voice. Avril has turned out to be just another manufactured bubblegum 'pop princess'...eww

Hmm.. y'know comparisons lead to awareness of differences as well as similarities..

As for Ms. Amazing Voice... I saw her at a gig and she sucked so bad that I spent most of the time in the bar..

She may have been ill.. I cannot say for sure.. but I didn't buy tickets for the next one lol.
