Breakdown: All Hands On Deck!
Raj: To paraphrase the immortal words of Scotty in Star Trek... "The engines cannae take any more!...She's gonna blow!" was exactly what we felt on Saturday. Our studios suffered a massive power failure - Radio 1, 1xtra and our show grounded to a massive earth shattering silence. Big thanks to all those behind the scenes who managed to save the day, especially the lovely Noreen who rushed into the Birmingham studios and became 'A Raj & Pablo Takeova'. Oh and don't worry, we will continue where we left off with our Fanclub of 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' this Saturday.
Pablo: After relocating to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ studios in Shepherds Bush for the Sunday show - The Bollywood Battleship came back to its original home for a day. It was great to speak to both Biddu and a very emotional Channi Singh in our tribute to the late Feroz Khan. Both agreed that he was the original King Khan with a larger than life personality and style - who else started the morning with a glass of champagne? We were astonished when Biddu revealed that the classic 'Aap Jaisa Koi' from Qurbani only took five minutes to compose. Do listen again or download the podcast bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork
