Big Bolly Mamas

Raj&Pablo | 16:30 UK time, Friday, 20 March 2009

A big thank you to everyone who enjoyed our interview with Waheeda Rehman.Ìý It still makes us tingle to be able to chat to some of Bollywood 's living legends. For the group of you who grabbed us when we were sitting enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by , her must see films are Guru Dutt ' s Pyassa, Kagaaz Ke Phool , Guide , Mujhe Jeene Do and Khamoshi. And your idea of giving a Raj&Pablo definitive list of "must see movies" is something we will definitely look into.

Raj:ÌýWell, we warned everyone last week thatÌý Mother'sÌý Day is almost upon us and in this week ' s shows we will be looking at Big Bollywood Mama songs in our Strictly Five Factor. Bollywood has given us the best all sacrificing mums ever - for us the all time mama of mamas has to be the late great Nirupa Roy. Her trademark roles of losing her kids, struggling in poverty,Ìý being husbandless, and then after buckets of glycerine induced tears finally reunites her family and promptly dies....aaaaaaaah!ÌýÌý They don't make mums like that anymore. Well, apart from Kiron Kher in Om Shanti Om and Dostana. Make sure you get yourÌý Mother'sÌý Day dedications in. Is your mum like a bollywood screen mama?

Pablo:ÌýWe ' veÌý both been a tad bored this week, there's been no big releases; no new bollywood albums and we are getting withdrawal symptoms. Off to see the Aftab starrerÌý "Aloo Chat" - it's a small movie withÌý aÌýÌý limited release andÌý promises to be a sweet entertainer . It's about a guy who tries to hoodwink his family intoÌý accepting the girl of his choice. Personally ,Ìý I can't wait to see "Aa Dekhen Zara" - the Neil-Bipasha starrer which is out next week. The music has really grown on me and I'm practicing my dance moves asÌý I write....
