And she is still going strong - she's releasing a new album - Precious Platinum - 9 sparkling new songs that tingle. So as we do every year we are having an Asha Night with a few friends, food and tonnes of Asha songs!

Pablo: Asha's voice sends a sizzle down my spine - from her cabaret classics to ghazals - she is the ultimate Divine Diva. Raj used to go on about her and dragged me to a concert - I was hooked. My favourite as all you "Love Bollywood" listeners know is Sharara Sharara - and tonight this is going to be on repeat.

Raj: Don't know what it is about her but she just emanates a prescience that is so ethereal. She's a brilliant cook and made me one of the best masala chai's ever. What I love about her is her utter simplicity and of course her glamour. This lady rocks!" I can't decide which is my favourite - it nearly damn impossible.
