As was discussed Here this wasn't an Open, open meeting but a closed open meeting, that is open to only the invited (mostly the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's partners and suppliers it would seem). Sorry but the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ is being less than open about how open these meetings really are!...

Please ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, "Buzz" words are oh so late 1990s - early 'Noughties', enough of them to sink a ship in the first video, many of them repeated ad nausea - Sorry! Such meerkating speek might work within a the trade luv-ins but in the wider world it doesn't any more, in fact it's more likely to just generate lots of cynicism rather than anything else...
Seetha Kumar talked about the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ 'home page', what page is that, just how many still think that the way into a website is only via the domain name (in this case www.bbc.co.uk), just how many use that page and then click-through to their intended section rather than having just book-marked, clicked-though or typed in the direct URL?
Nic Newman talked about syndicated (video) content, when the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ talks about greater syndication to external sites does this include (suitable) private/non-commercial sites or just greater syndication within the established/³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ partner media industry?
Simon Nelson talked about many things, one being programmes having support via online content, why is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ starting this off with such well known programmes - Should the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ not be fulfilling it's PSB remit (never mind the Rethian values within it's Royal Charter) first and foremost, by offering and promoting content that is not being offered by the commercial sector rather than competing for the same audience...
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Comedy, sorry but if the extracts shown are 'comedy' then the comedy greats (like Morecambe and Wise, Sykes and even Benny Hill were Shakespearian actors... There is an audience beyond the 25 year old you know!
Radio visualisations - what's the point?... Money would be better spent elsewhere, in other ways or at least make them available as a user opt-in only, I can think of nothing more crass than forcing visualisations onto an audience who will have built up their own mental image (visualisation) of the radio programme - especially plays, dramas and soaps.
One last comment regarding the video, I hope that the production 'qualities' were intentional...

Slightly strange that you should pick up on this subject, as in the presentation I gave I only very briefly mentioned visualisation once. 99% of what I presented was about other areas of our strategy, as you can see if you watch the video.
Having said that, all our research shows that the latest visualisation trials (/blogs/bbcinternet/2009/07/radio_and_telly_thatd_be_telio.html%29 have been extremely popular with our audiences. Worth noting too that they are all opt-in only. We don't force visualisations on anyone!

If that helps the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's coffers so much the better.
One problem we have found is feedback after after applying to be included in the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ search engines external links database. Many of our members use the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ search and ask why we are not included, we have no answer as one is never informed.
Back to the comments great stings coming, please keep the add-ons simple user friendly functions.

Most other news sites have stuff up well before the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ.
The local pages are worse - -six or seven items - some left there for days on end.
Obviously there is a lack of effort - will - license payers money being put into it.
So where would you go for News ?-- prob not the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ.
By the time they eventually , slowly get it 'updated' -we will all be with Sky News- Bold, brash, punchy and UP TO DATE.
* Accessing it from the USA - the site has adverts/pop ups/and pre adverts on any video clips available.

...and your comment (or was it just an anti ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ rant) has what, exactly, to do with the subject under discussion?
Anyway, it's no good being first, "Bold, brash, punchy and UP TO DATE", with the news if what is broadcast is simply wrong, better to be second - or even third or fourth - and accurate than first, then have to make a public retraction! I'm not saying that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ doesn't make mistakes but they pail into insignificance (in my opinion) when compared to certain other media companies.
Oh, and why shouldn't people outside the UK, many who do not pay the UK TVL fee, not 'pay' for the content they access by advertising, indeed people who subscribe to the Murdock media not only pay their subscriptions but then have to watch adverts too...
