The penultimate Songs Wars Classics focuses on the Pink Tops. There are many weekly and monthly magazines that focus on fashion, celebrities and reader stories - so the fact that we used Grazia for inspiration was just the luck of the draw. The tough rules of Song Wars stated the lyrical content had to come directly from the current issue of said magazine. Get the podcast to see which songs triumphed and if you agree!

Firstly, it's not lead, it's graphite, a carbon polymorph. It's molecules of CARBON! And whilst the molecules are often depicted as spherical, they're arranged in flat sheets which are loosely bonded to one another. The contact between the surface you write on, and the graphite loosens and breaks the bonds and leaves layers of carbon on the surface as visible marks.
