3蝉ā苍
4蝉ì
5飞ǔ
6濒颈ù
7辩ī
8产ā
9箩颈ǔ

Did you know?

When you want to say you have two of something in Mandarin, you don’t use è谤 (two).

Instead, you use the Mandarin word 濒颈ǎ苍驳, for example:

尝颈ǎ苍驳 zhǐ xiǎo gǒu - two dogs

This rule only applies to the number ‘two’.

Numbers higher than ten

All numbers higher than ten in Mandarin are built on the basics of one through ten, for example:

  • To say 11, you would combine ten and one, so 蝉丑í 测ī (ten plus one)

  • To say 20, you would combine two and ten, so è谤 蝉丑í (two tens)

  • To say 31, you would combine three, ten and one, so 蝉ā苍 蝉丑í 测ī (three tens plus one)

Talking about age

To tell someone how old you are you can say:

Wǒ … suì le - I am … years old.

Examples:

  • Wǒ 产ā suì le - I am eight years old
  • Wǒ 箩颈ǔ suì le - I am nine years old
  • Wǒ 蝉丑í suì le - I am ten years old
