From happy, to sad, we can make lots of different faces, depending on how we feel. Let鈥檚 draw some.
First, try holding your pencil in a tripod grip or something that feels comfortable.
Now, let's start with a happy face. First, draw an oval for the head. An oval is like a stretched out circle.
Then near the bottom, draw a nice big smile curving upward.
Next, draw a long line coming down to the middle and a short line meeting it to make the nose.
Now add the eyes. Draw a downward curved line then another just above it. Now the other eye.
Finally, let鈥檚 add eyebrows. Draw a downward curved line a bit above each eye.
All done.
Now, let鈥檚 try drawing a sad face.
Like before, let's draw an oval for the head. Now, draw an upside-down smile.
A sad nose is the same as a happy nose.
The eyes often close a little when we鈥檙e sad, so let鈥檚 draw ovals.
To finish, let鈥檚 draw eyebrows curving downwards.
There's our sad face.
Sometimes we feel happy and sometimes we feel sad.
We all have lots of different emotions and all of them are perfectly normal.
If you have time, maybe you could colour in your picture.
Now, what colour should I use for the eyes?
