Emma-Louise: Hi! Let's make a rainbow windsock that blows in the wind.
First, get a kitchen roll tube, scissors, a glue stick, a piece of card and some tissue paper cut into strips to make streamers in all the colours of the rainbow.
Now, take one of the streamers, put some glue on the end of the kitchen roll tube and stick the streamer to it so it hangs off the back. Then, do that with all the different colours, working your way around the tube. See, it's really starting to look like a rainbow! Always ask an adult to help you when using scissors.
Now, cut a strip of your card, being very careful. Put some glue on one end of the strip, then stick it to the end of your kitchen roll without the rainbow paper. Then glue the other end of the strip. Bend it over and stick it to the other side of the kitchen roll so you have a little handle.
Now that you've finished building it, it's decorating time. And you can do it however you like.
Now that we've finished decorating, we can take it outside and we should see the rainbow tails flutter in the wind. I like playing outside in the wind in all the different seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn.
Okay, have fun with your windsock.
