There are a wide range of tools available for use in the workshop and understanding their purpose is very important to the success of any project.
Hand tools generally have two uses: -
- Removing material during the shaping and forming of components
- Connecting materials together
Many tools and machines can be used on a variety of materials. Some materials, however, require the use of specific tools or machinery. Being able to match the correct tool or machine to the material is essential to avoid failure.
