What is the Regenerators?
The Regenerators is an environmental initiative from 成人快手 Bitesize for 5-16 year olds, which aims to inspire young people to adopt a greener lifestyle and empower them to use their voices to protect the planet.
What is the Regenerators Hall of Fame?
The Hall of Fame is a celebration of young climate champions from across the UK who are passionate about the planet and, over the past year (10 June 2021 - 9 June 2022) have taken action to protect the environment.
When do entries for the Regenerators Hall of Fame Awards open and close?
Entries open on Earth Day, Friday 22 April 2022 and close at midday on Friday 10 June 2022. Entries will not be accepted out of this window.
Who can enter?
Absolutely anyone aged 5 鈥 16 years old can enter as long as you are a UK resident.
I am already featured in the Regenerators content, may I enter?
No, we already recognise the amazing work you are doing to help protect the planet.
Can I submit more than one entry?
Yes 鈥 You can submit an entry for each award (schools, community and individuals) but only one entry per award is allowed.
Can I nominate more than one person or group?
Yes - but they can鈥檛 be nominated more than once.
Can I nominate myself or a friend?
Yes - but if you鈥檙e 16 or under, your parent or guardian needs to submit the entry. The adult must provide their own contact details (not the child鈥檚). They will also need to ask permission from the parents/guardian of anyone nominated.
Can we enter if we鈥檙e a local youth group that is part of a national organisation?
Yes 鈥 as long as the group operates at a local level.
I am a teacher - what happens if I want to enter one pupil?
You will need to do this via the individual awards link but please ensure you have received consent from both the individual and their parents or guardians beforehand.
I am a teacher - may I enter more than one class?
Yes - you can include a description of as many classes or clubs as you would like BUT the school can only have ONE submission.
What permissions do I need to enter?
Anyone nominated needs to have given their permission. Parents/guardians will also need to give permission for their children to be entered, submit any supporting evidence and to be filmed if chosen.
What is the criteria for judging entries?
Nominations will be judged on the following criteria:
- Innovative: How original and creative is the idea?
- Impact: What impact has the idea had?
- Inspiration: Has this idea influenced others to make a change?
How are the entries judged?
The first round will be judged by the Regenerators production team who will score using the criteria above. The highest scored nominations from this round will be put through to the next round. This process is overseen by a 成人快手 Editorial figure.
The highest scored nominations from the first round of judging will be collated and a shortlist of 5 nominations per award (30 in total) will be put forward for the final judging round.
These top nominees will be read and judged by a guest panel chaired by Lisa Percy, Executive Editor of the Regenerators. One winner for each award category (six in total) and highly commended finalists will be selected.
What do the winners from each category receive?
The winner of each category will receive a Regenerators Hall of Fame award and have a short film made about them, which will be hosted on the 成人快手 Bitesize website to inspire other young people. Entries worthy of a special mention will also be featured alongside the category winners.
I am having problems submitting an entry, what should I do?

I made a mistake on my submission form - what can I do?
You will not be able to change any details or edit your entry after it has been successfully submitted to us, so it is really important that you check everything prior to submitting! Please note you cannot save your submission and go back to it. Everything will need to be completed and submitted at the same time.
I've submitted my entry - when will I hear back?
When you submit your entry, you will get an automated response confirming that we鈥檝e received your submission.The teachers, community group leaders, parents or guardians of the entrants who are short-listed will be contacted by a member of the Regenerators production team by Friday 24 June 2022, when we will verify the entry. Those who have not been shortlisted will not be notified. If you have not heard from us by this date, you will not have been successful.
Why do you need personal information?
The personal data provided will be used for the purpose of administering the Regenerators Hall of Fame awards and in accordance with the 成人快手鈥檚 Privacy and Cookies Policy. The 成人快手 will use the contact details provided by the adult to send general updates regarding the progress of the Regenerators Hall of Fame awards by email.
